To get to Dong village head east from Sepon town on Route 9 and it is about 22km away on your right side.

Distance from bridge in Savannakhet to bridge in Sepon is 190km.
So your taxi to Dong village will be about 212 km.

Just hire a taxi for the day after inspecting the vehicle.
    No idea of cost.

Its a [at][at][at][at] of a road unless they have fixed it recently used to take 3 hours sepon to savannakhet but more like 6 now, if you go why not continue on to Lao Bao Border and cross into vietnam and have a look at the museum in KHe sanh, you will need a visa before you get there as they won t issue at the bridge

I can't comment on the actual route you are intending on travelling but I can tell you that road travel in Laos can be very slow! It once took me 18 hours (Yes honestly 18 HOURS!!!) To get from Phonsavan to Vientiane!!! So be aware that it could take quite a while!

Also no offence but try and lay out what you are saying in a better way and look at your spelling a little as I am finding it rather confusing to read.

    Good luck with your trip!

i would like to see the pics mate, are you posting the pics to the gallery? why not open a photobucket account dead easy or re size the pics to 600 x 800 The copper trucks are from sepon thats the only large scale copper mine down this way , they go out daily ,doesnt look like the are very loaded but that stuffs heavy and there are weight restrictions for Lao roads, Not that the viets overloaded with Lumber and gypsum etc give a fok ( the lumbers whats called Mai doo) fantastic wood and worth a fortune

The lumber is probably Pterocarpus macrocarpus (Burma Padauk).

Well, four years ago I did not google for this destination. I was looking for the telephone number of the museum and hence tripped over TeakDoor. Hopefully that clarifies it; maybe a future visitor might be glad for this information.
