Meh. Another myth. The older I get, the less patience I have for fabricated crapola.

Jacqueline Keeler, a member of the Dineh Nation and the Yankton Dakota Sioux who lives in Oregon, observes Thanksgiving with her family but doesn’t think of it as a national holiday the way the rest of the country does.
“Thanksgiving tells a story that is convenient for Americans,” Keeler said. “[But] it’s a celebration of our survival. I recognize it as a chance for my family to come together as survivors, pretty much in defiance.”

    Heh...Brilliant stuff, David...Your 44 is well-oiled today...

Thanksgiving is long gone for Canucks...

But the "tradition" in the States is quite the deal...One of the busiest times of the year with everyone travelling home...At university, you get the whole week off, and that's just a month before the two-week break at Christmas...

Some good times I had down there...

Why did you quote the word "tradition"?

Didn't think you'd know why. All those quotes and you still can't write.

    Some may wanton flailing.

Sort of like crying at a Funeral = OK
Wailing = not OK (unless you are a paid wailer* then pile it on)

Hardly a fabrication. It did indeed take nearly a year to get back to me.

I'll have to take your word for it.
