    Borneo, East and Sth Kalimantan

They said start a new thread. My old job (finished now thank you) had me commuting about 400k to work. I live in Balikpapan in East Kalimantan and I was working mine sites in Sth Kalimantan. On a good day I could do the drive in 8 hours. On the bad ones it took 36 or more. A clue to the depth of mud we drove through

My snatch strap just wasn't long enough. Rubber plantation on the right and palm oil on the left

When the palm oil trucks get fracked up in front of you it's hard going. See the lump of wood against the yellow truck's tailgate. They tip the body up on the wood to lift the wheels free and get some dunnage underneath. We ahd to clear the bush to the right and then tow the yellow one free. The green one blew the diff up and wasn't going anywhere

If you're ever driving over here let the truck in front get up the hill. Good chance they'll miss a gear and roll back on you. This bloke missed, no brakes and back he came

The little school bus jigger couldn't do it. Fill up with kids and whoever else and move along
