If you've never left Perth then you probably consider perth to be OK. But for me it's just a place to get the nippers schooled up. And there doing well . But for me having started the travel early at 18 and seen many countries and cultures I can honestly say that Aussies haven't got a fucki ng clue sadly. It's only me and her struggling to adapt. Kids are fine.

Bali is one of the few spots in SEA I haven't been to. Doesn't appear to be that much of a change from Pattaya or Boracay.

Would I need a fully fledged mullet to fit in?

There’s plenty of drunk Irishmen. You’ll fit in fine.

in legian we stayed at the legian beach resort which was a bit jaded but not bad considering how huge this property was and they had sort of maintained it, it had 3 swimming pools

Well, maybe about fifty years ago.

Now it's full of middle aged people consuming culture on a stick.

But no trip to Bali is really complete without at least a visit to Ubud.

If I should have to go through Bali again then I would probably go have a look at the gili Islands or lombok

I quite like Ubud, but miss the old days of no noise after dark about 200 meters from town, except from frogs.

I've been there a few times.

Gili Trawangan, Gili Air and Gili Meno. I quite liked Lombok too.

I can't stand Bali and the traffic is another level. Even being there for the boat to the Gilis was a day too much either side of the trips.

    Had my honeymoon there.

Can confirm we like things on sticks.
