Had a great time on my maiden voyage to Bali. Bladdy love the place. People are so nice and they speak great English. Never once did I feel cheated.. Taxi drivers stuck to their set pricing.

Maybe i got lucky on my first visit? Are Balinese taxi drivers robbing opportunist cnts like the Thai's are in their touristy areas?


First hotel near the beach was cheap, bogantastic and a bit average but OK as a base to explore the beach area (Nusa Dua). I went for dinner and drinks at the Grand Hyatt for NYE. I might have used their pool in the afternoon as well


Ubud resort was amazing (cringe ) surrounded by jungle and rice fields and well away from the central town.


For travelling i opted to take cars and drivers instead of risking death on a motorbike.. for £30 you can hire driver for 8 hours. So many more things to see and do for my next time there. Planning my next trip there for Songkran

This looks like the exact same van driver interiary that I took. Personally next time I'll just stay at hilton as spending 5 hours a day in a van doesn't appeal to me.

Really nice pictures Punty and no, the Bali Taxi drivers don't pull shit on the punters like these Thai plebs try on.

If I ever bail from this shithouse I'll rent a condo in Bali for sure.

Two other small points.

I recon that civic cat lamak coffee is fookin horrendous. Fook knows what plebs taste in it besides shit.

And those rice fields ya visited.

The old coont in the picture has been there for many years in the same fookin spot getting his picture taken. Makes a very nice wedge soliciting donations after the money shot.

Airport immigration at Don Mueang is a nightmare... I waited about 35 minutes in line to get my passport stamped.... both times

In Bali it took about 5 minutes......both times

The great thing about Bali is that one does not have to spend a huge amount of money to do it the Punty way, especially now in the low season.

Some coonts complain about Kuta, crowds and the Pleb Aussies towing around his fat arsed tattooed bint and fugly kids.

With an ounce of get up and go there are so many beautiful spots to found in Bali, the very reasonable price is the cream on top.

Fooking great people as well.
