Sounds like a lot of wasted time.

Rent out a decent bike. Get up early each morning and go exploring to places unknown.

Spend the evenings drinking and shagging.

    Done.

Dead right about the traffic. I would never hire a car there, taxis are really cheap and it is easy and cheap to o negotiate a day rate.

I was there for two weeks at the beginning of February. It poured with rain every day, you may have to cancel a few activities if that happens.

My wife took the stepson to the water park - I think it is the biggest in SE Asia. They enjoyed it but the entrance fee does not include all the activities. She felt a bit of a rip off.

Be careful and only change money at bank or official exchanges. Lots of unofficial money changers who are expert at sleight of hand and will rip you off.

And finally if you think Benidorm had its share of UK scum, wait until you see the bogan Aussie chavs. - shaved tattooed heads, fat arses and guts, swearing like troopers and the men are just as bad.

    Enjoy!

True that, but avoid Kuta and you wont see them.

Go to Tampaksiring and wear a skirt. You may find it liberating.

Wow, you used my pic - you're welcome! I didn't even remember that I took that pic. Had to look at my old thread and jog the memories. Nice memories of nice times. I'd like to return to Bali, but not during Dec-Jan when all the rubbish from Java are brought to Bali by the waves.

    Cheers and enjoy your holiday!

Come over I have enough beds. I'm not far from where you stayed. Not that I've been stalking you.

Gosh, stalker! Are you anywhere near my apartment??? Scary!

I think I stayed in Seminyak(?) - it's a good place. Near the beach, just 10 min walk, if I remember correctly. Lots of restos by the beach. There's also a famous eatery in that area - Warung Murah, check it out (if you're not too posh, that is). Cheers!

Go to Mozzzarella restaurant with your daughter. Two locations one on Jalan Padma in Legian, or on the beach near the end of Triple 6 road. Legian a more simple family menu, the beach just a bit more upscale. Order two killer desserts and take one home to share later. Moments mate......

    Day 1:

Got to the villa, had a dip and a few beers, slept most of the day and missed the sunset at Tanah Lot

    Then went to that La Plancha for a steak and a few beers;

It might not have been la Plancha, but it had bean bags and some rock band playing

What about the fat Aussie plebs with their Fat Aussie Kids and Fat fuggly Aussie wife.

A snap shot into lower class welfare scum who can afford to go to Bali on their Dole check.

    Great thing is,

It puts off Immigrants wanting to come to Australia, they go to Pomgolia instead.

A lot of those Aussie shit bags do support the Balinese though and generally like them.
