Giving Reputation

On V Bulletin you can give reputation, either greens or reds, lots of greens like this is good.



Not so many greens or heaven forbid, reds are bad, those people are best put on ignore.

In the next picture see where those scales are pointed out by the yellow arrow, just click on them.



If your giving greens you don't have to leave a message, if your giving reds then you do have to leave a message, you can do 20 people perday, if you want to do somebody twice then you have to do 10 people in between, the power of your reds or greens will vary depending on how many greens you have, how many posts you have and how long you have been a member.

OK I'll bite - seems like I'm locked in some sort of time warp here?
Can someone please explain to me how the red/green dot system works?
When I first joined I upset the administrators with my choice of avatar and earned an unjustified 2 red dots for my criticism.
After awhile the red dots disappeared and a series of greens appeared and stayed until a few days back at which time my 2 reds are back?
Administrator apparently cannot explain direct and refers me to this site?
Read your threads and am still none the wiser?

Admin has nothing to do with your green/red status. All reputation is given by members.

You can see who has given you red or green (only the last 5) by clicking (top of page) on "User CP", then "User Control Panel".

In the user CP page is says "latest reputation recieved" on the right it'll tell you how many points you have

The more points you have the more you can claim at 7Eleven. I recently started getting free bags of Ice with my whiskey.

I like to green when it's deserved but rarely red. I did red a guy the other day, probably only the 3rd one I've given out and it turned his 2 little green dots into 1 red dot. It felt pretty good actually
