Works for me..go to your picassa site...put the mouse over the pic...right click and then click on "copy image location"...now come back to TD and then left click on then "ctrl V" will insert the URL...result will be your picture showing like below...

Yep, I suspect it is the image host not allowing you to link.
I reloaded the picture in post #46 and it has disappeared again.

You will have to use the TD gallery or find another host.

Point taken "dirtydog", for speed O.K., but for me, Pbase.com is an independent photo site which I pay a few dollars for each and every year. Linking is no problems from there, but you are safe and secure that once being bumped off a forum you Kan go and switch off your links, rather than the forum you have posted your photos on, will be always on their site.

The same has to be said about Photobucket, but then they delete what they want too, as it is free of charge.

Thank you for posting Number 5Home - Thaivisa.com54.61 KB 3.64 seconds 0.07 seconds. Only posted a few photos in their gallery.

That said, I post me own photos on Pbase.com and me udder tinkings in Photobucket which I use as a joke or two.

I only post photos on here and Ajarn.com only to complement both sites in the Travel section, as I see there is a wee bit lacking (photo wise that is), from my point of "View".

At Home - Thaivisa.com you know where I am, but it is indifferent from your site that your members posts photos of their tarvels which I do enjoy and it is not the matter of what the speed of down loading the photos are.

Can you not post a pic straight from the reply button ? Most forums allow you to post straight from your files to be uploaded and included in a post.

Or do you have to upload to the site/gallery first and then link it ?

Alos does a newbi have to wait for XX posts to put up pics ?

attachments are not allowed, you can upload to the gallery here or most other free photo sites and hot link the pics, I think 10 posts.

Really far too complicated for inserting a pic in a thread. Need a one step cut and paste procedure

Thats called hot linking, if the site allows it there is no problem, trouble is loads of sites don't like it cos your stealing their bandwidth.

Holy Catfish Batman - who designed this ? Agatha Christie?
Why make it so complicated , I have downloaded pics on all sorts of sites and have never seen anything to match this one?

    Upload photos

I’m not able to upload anything to your gallery even after reducing down to 1024 pixels and 170 kb.
Nothing happens. Only the URL from photobucket works

You have to create a gallery first, ie create new gallery, name it, and then you can upload to that gallery.

I do have to agree that the picture gallery is probably the most user unfriendly feature of the board. But if you bash your head against the screen a few times, it seems to work.

Looks like it’s working now but what is ff? How do I change it so I can read the “blank” box?

    FF = Firefox

No you cannot mend the blank box
Have to wait for a Firefox update that corrects it
