Question about living in Nong Khai

I have been living in Samui for about 6 years. I am considering a change as my lady friend is Lao.
The 90 day immigration runs are a hassle and an expense.
I would ge greatful for any information with regard to long term accommodation in and around Nong Khai.
Is there an area that expats prefer.
I am going to spend some time in Nong Khai in the not so distant future . Some information would be a good starting point for me.

My recommendation is to find a girlfriend closer to home. Once you start down the road of following the ladies around the country, it normally ends in financial disaster. Samui has many good looking ladies and you will not be pleased with the difference between Nong Khai and Samui, which is immense. Just sayin.

Nong Khai sucks. Texpat lives there.

But if you must, go on facebook and search for Nong Khai Accommodation to Rent or Lease

Yes. On river front along Rim Khong Alley.
Consider looking at Udon Thani. Much bigger and not far from Lao border.
