How to post Youtube Videos without screwing up the thread.

You know when you stick up a youtube link and it then breaks the page like below?



Well there is a very simple solution to this. The issue if the S in the url



If you remove the S as highlighted by the arrow above you do not screw the page up.



The above was posted from the same url with the S removed like this...

If you add an S you would get this;

Works - because it seems you do not need the http: at all. So its all good as long as there is not just a single S after the p.

If one of the mods want to do that then sure. However, the lack of a question mark on the end of the sentence should be a clue to most.... Perhaps put the word "SOLVED" onto the end?

It still isn't a difficult process.
I believe the problems arrive when posters attempt to insert vids from the hosting side instead of simply installing the url in the proper TD tab - making the mechanics more complex than it needs to be.

Though Sid's brief instructional sticky might be helpful, one doesn't need to be concerned with the added or subtracted "s" in the url, as it's already provided for in the TD upload process.

It's a simple task.
Same as posting images on a thread - regardless of how you transfer the pic/image to the forum - it's not rocket science. Some create the difficulty much more than it needs to be.

I've learned to do the right click and use either copy or cut, then go to the site on the forum and right click again and click paste...works for me.

They display fine in the "preview post", but when I click "submit reply" it just shows the link..

youtube videos - stop posting the <embed> links - just post the http from your browser URL box at the top - if it has https then delete the s
I have the flashblock plugin so I choose if flash elements load - also I do not allow my browser to automatically load youtube by not allowing with the requestpolicy plugin
