^well fuck me...I had the s in there.
How is it that some still manage to fuck it up?
I'll go look for a recent post where a youtube post is not centered.
Probably some appleshit problem.
Here's a recent post where the youtube video is not centered:
edit: oh it's lulu.

Let's see what happens when I leave the 's' in there......

If you use the tab button that looks like a film strip, (left of the Insert Image button) you can post
one video which is left indented. But only one.

You can post multiple YouTubes, but in the old style and it centers them.

^I suggested on another thread that admin use the auto-replace feature which turns kunt into [@][@][@][@] to change https ://www.youtube into http ://www.youtube so maybe they finally did it.
Or maybe something changed at youtube's end on the way youtubes are embedded.
That particular workaround no-worky on TD as there only appears to be one censorship option available (all censored words are replaced with the exact same characters - [at][at][at][at]).
That's what my XP Pro hacking tool users handbook that Butters sent me says anyway. :)
^^Don't think so B0b as youtubes were trashing TD pages equally as badly if not worse after the upgrade.
^Oh well. I thought the VBulletin built in censorship search and replace might be more flexible than that. Surely cannot be that hard to do a custom javascript parser with a RegExp search and replace to remove the s from the default youtube URL even if it is not part of the VBulletin censorship feature.
Anyhoo, all academic now.
Just curious however if the fix only fixed new posts or if it retro-fixed old posts too... That might give a clue as to how the fix is working. If old posts are still knackered then the fix is to the posting mechanism (like a parser to fix the URL) and if old posts are also fixed then it is more likely something at the YouTube end.
No, they weren't. That was the very first thing tested.
They're not.
In fact the fixes are a mix of all these things - don't forget the old version of the forum was very, very old. Lots of changes were made to the video support, new modules were added, and during the several years gap between the old version we had and the version we have now youtube themselves have made many changes. We had a lot of catching up to do.
Here's an example of a recent youtube post, by misskit, screwing up the thread...this was after the upgrade. Maybe only mods can do this? :)

No, that's not the case either. Grampa's youtube screws up a thread right out of the gate, here:

again after the upgrade...
