    Did you have CT scan done in Thailand?

    Where are you located?

    Bumrungrad Hospital Bangkok. I was treated with Lithotripsy (shockwave ) and they were able to break up the stone...I think for your situation a flexible endoscope would be less painful then the older rigid endoscopes(make sure you ask)...anyhow the urologist was a Chinese/Thai professor and very capable.

    Go to the Bumrungrad hospital web-site.
    www.bumrungrad.com
    Then for doctors 'click' on Urologists.
    You will get the full background and training for each staff doctor.

    I personally would recommend Dr Danaiphand Akarasakal (certified full Urologist & Surgeon) re: laparoscopic nephrectomy (2013).

    You can make an appt on the web-site but make sure you have your passport information and make sure you either bring cash or credit card to the hospital.
    It's first class all the way - it will make many other hospitals in 'the west' look ill by comparison (IMO).

    You can even get an approx quotation for any procedure that you require on-line.

    You MUST bring your passport with you to your first appointment as they will copy and issue you a Bumrungrad card that is utilized for 'every stop' throughout your stay...if for some reason you get lost or forgot with whom or what time you have an appointment - just flash your card at any counter and they will provide you a printout with information in English.

    Bring your CT-scan with you to the appointment with the doctor as they like to have all the information. They may wish to request that you have some further blood work / urine / lab tests done that day to make sure they have a full profile of your health prior to possibly providing various / alternative treatment options allowing YOU to determine the course of treatment you are comfortable with.

    Once the doctor / (surgeon) schedules you for a procedure and provides you with the amount of money required - make sure you have enough bhat deposited to make a down payment.
    {What you will readily notice is how many Middle Eastern patients come to BKK for more economical and perceived better care than in their own fiefdoms.}

    ps: I just noted the date on the OP...anyhow I hope this assists if anyone is currently seeking a qualified Urologist.
