So what's the story armo. Hal got his knickers in a twist. Did you decide to use the insurance ? And wait? Or pay out of pocket? It's all a bit confusing I wish you fuckers would speak English. By the way I hope you got it sorted. Is the handjob still on offer asking for a friend

We had a choice of using the insurance and waiting for a government hospital, or paying out of pocket for the best person around and get it sorted asap. So if anyone wants a hand job they're starting at 500thb. Few thousand of them and we're sorted.
I am with you. I would do almost anything to help my spouse if she had an issue with cancer.

Fuck waiting (maybe forever) in line for an opening to get her treatment.

    The sooner the better.

BLD - please ask your carer to explain my post to you. Insurance will take too long so we have paid for the most recommended doctor in Thailand to do it asap. The hand job quip was a joke to lighten the mood as it's fucking expensive. Now do me a favour and fuck off.

I think you are a good egg, BLD, but you've massively read this one wrong.

Hopefully, you will see sense in the morning when you sober up.

Armstrong's post was a bit bewildering to me I couldn't get my head around if his issue was not enough insurance and as a result of that a long wait for treatment it seems this was the case so he had to pony up.which wasn't cheap apparently. I wouldn't wish cancer of any kind on anybody I guess I misunderstood his DRY sense of humour. Or I'm.just a thick antipodean kunt? Either way I wish her a speedy recovery

    But I'm still confused
In Oz I have private insurance for me and the whole family it's only bronze cover so doesn't cover everything it's not cheap and I pay it myself but if for example there was an emergency I would likely be about 75% covered and have to deal with the rest of it later ( handjobs?) No insurance = wait time of months the public hospital system here is shit. You have to be insured. So I do feel your pain. If your insurance is arranged through your employment then it's not enough to cover you and the family? That's what it sounds like. Just a bit of advice from the old ditch digger

In Oz if your insured. You go first. No insurance means you wait. You say insurance would take to long? So you have gone private. That seems contrary to the purpose of having insurance ?am I once again missing something here. I've needed to use my insurance a couple of times over the last 5 years and I would be seriously out of pocket if I didn't have it.

Not trying to turn this Into.the usual shitfight but I seriously can't understand why ? If he has insurance that will take to long to get her sorted that he has to go find the best doctor asap. I know some things are half ass backwards but surely if you have insurance then you move to the front of the line. Once again I wish Mrs armos saliva gland gone asap. Illness and medical care is a serious subject.

My close cousin died this week from cancer of the oesophagus, she'd been fighting it for 5 years and was in terrible pain which she didn't deserve as she was the most caring and charitable person you could hope to meet.. She is now at peace.

Probably no amount of insurance can fix that Joe if it's terminal but having proper insurance will certainly help.with the inevitable. I mean no disrespect to Armstrong's missus but the point I was Trying to make was you have to be insured. Especially in south East Asia. Maybe his insurance is commensurate to his salary? I don't know .but I would wonder if he's got all his ducks in a row? You can't take shit for granted anything can happen. Covid kinda reinforced that. Put more money into the family health insurance armo. That's my advice. Take it or leave it. Good luck with her indoors op

I am not sure i understand this. My missus had insurance, and she could have walked into any private hospital and with one call to her insurance agent been fully covered. I do not understand why your missus has insurance but is waitlisted at a government hospital?

Shit I have social insurance through the government scheme, and I still get priority treatment.

...my experience: if you have the means, go for the best doctors in the most modern settings. No waiting, clear explanations of procedures, more peace of mind. I paid out-of-pocket for radiotherapy at Srirat Hospital: horribly expensive, but both my radiologist and my urologist are on the faculty of Mahidon School of Medicine. Immediate entry into treatment and regular consultations thereafter...the hospital has a public side as well as the private side (which I attended): a walk through the public wards felt like a return trip to Ethiopia...

I go to the private part of Siriraj hospital, Piyagarun if I recall correctly. A lot less pain than Siriraj. I pay out of pocket. But if anything serious crops up, I will go to Siriraj and use my social insurance.
