    Getting a vasectomy in Thailand.

I'm happy with me one kid, and there's also a possible illegitimate child that I'll probably never know.

At humanity's loss, it might be time to stop procreating.

I'm very very happy in my life and I certainly have no desire, want or need to have another child, so might be time to get the snip.

Two girl's in their 30s that I previously dated for a week or two had the female version done, one had two tiny dot marks above or below their belly button. I doubt they go in from the top for males, however.

2 lines of enquiry are... secondly... hospitals... the procedure... pain... recovery time... price... etc.

Primarily... the effect on *blush* hanky-panky.... there is no loss of sensations, feelings, libido, my menstrual cycle or anything like that.... right?

I think my dad had it done in his 50s, but that was around 30 years ago, and things are probably a bit different now.

I think Stumpy said he had it done but has flounced again.

Anyone with experience or knowledge of it in Thailand?

    Cheers chaps/chapettes.

There are definite risks involved. My friend had the procedure and his wife still became pregnant. Not only that, the kid was born black.

I looked into the no-scalpal vasectomy from here: No Scalpel Vasectomy in Thailand

Can be done in 30mins and not a bad price.

Cabbages and condoms does them for a small donation.

My mates wife was asked to sign a form allowing him to undergo the operation...

That's cool, never heard of that. But have never really given it any thought. Cheers.

Though just reading it makes my whole body tense up and squirm.

I actually believe that.... I also envisage it being done by the motosai repair guy that has a shop next to them.

*Disclaimer: A vasectomy is one of the most effective kinds of birth control out there, and one of the most effective methods for people. Vasectomies are almost 100% effective at preventing pregnancy — but not right away. It takes at least 2 months for your semen to become sperm-free, sometimes longer.
    Lulu something new everyday.

That doesn't even seem possible, given what I thought the procedure was.

There are some parts of the male anatomy that should never be touched.

If 4 hands 90 minute warm oil massages are forbidden I'm going straight to hell.

But yes, the thought of the procedure does send quivers down one's spine.

I had a vasectomy many years ago but done in the UK. Later in life I divorced and moved to Thailand. My Thai wife wanted children and I told her about the vasectomy. She got upset so we discussed me having a reversal but I felt that reversals weren't the way forward.
But she was persistent and we were recommended the Nawabutr IVF Clinic in BKK. They extracted sperm from me directly from my testicles and gathered about 11 eggs from my wife. A little over 8/9 months later she gave birth to a daughter. Not happy with one she wanted more children. So back to the clinic and we went through all the palaver again. This time twins, boy/girl.
I know my story is not going to help but It's good to let others know there will be a happy ending if you try hard enough. Photo is of me and my youngest daughter.

A word of caution Edmond. If you do go ahead with the vasectomy then have your sperm frozen beforehand. In the event of your son ever getting involved in a serious accident you still can have babies.

Outside my personal experience but a very good friend got snipped and went on to have years of hanky-panky. I don't remember him having a day off, he ran a stable of mistresses and often managed one in the afternoon and another in the evening. Plus casual encounters and takeaways. You should have no fears in that department.

19 yr old uni GF says she might get a contraceptive implant, that lasts for a few years.

    Contraceptive implant - Mayo Clinic

implanted in the arm it releases Progestin.

It's very popular with uni girls as it gets them through uni without getting up the duff-a-rooney.

Though Edith's office is being transferred back from Japan in the new year so perhaps the vasectomy might be done then free of charge.

My mrs gave it a go after the 2nd but said she was putting weight because of it and had it removed.

100% she was putting on weight because eating like a Thai.

She's got a coil in now.

    Because...

I've been a Jaffa for about 30 years had it done in Blighty.Yes it hurts the op was done under local anaesthetic could feel things being pulled and was ok but a bit uncomfortable.
The next day definitely not fun swollen and slightly blue ,the discomfort lasted about a week and was pretty much ok then.
When they took the stitches out that wasn't much fun I remember walking very slowly afterwards,I walked home not a good idea.
Had to give to specimens I think it was after 1 month and then after another month.
Never had any problems so worth a bit of discomfort.
Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!

    ^ Cheers.

I'm gonna give it a miss for the time being.

Chicks getting hormone implants in their arms sits much much more comfortably for me.

Yeah, and I bet that tattoo you got in 1989 was a walk in the park too.

Get another tomorrow and you’ll remember how much they hurt.

Is there really a sensible argument then it’s better for men to get ‘fixed’?
