A perfect opportunity to incorporate 2 healthy exercise sessions per day into your daily routine. Morning walking/cycling/swimming (doesn't have to be based on pushing out personal records and triathlon training ), and afternoon gym (it doesn't have to be balls out powerlifting ) yoga/stretching would be very beneficial, sourcing good healthy ingredients and getting into food science would be interesting.

Isn't there a difference between wet/dry smoke though, lots of benefits with the wet smoke, salmon, herrings, Mackerel.

‘Best not eat’? perhaps you mean ‘ Best not to eat often’?

Smoked fish is packed with health benefits but yes, the nitrates mean eating it more than once or twice a week is unwise.

It is. I am not sure your age but the name of the game as we age is balance. My daily routine does not interfere with my daily fun, in fact some of it I do is fun. I swim, mountain bike ride, clip of 30 mins on treadmill watching NBA. I mix it up.

Then after I usually have property stuff to do which keeps me even more busy. I typically only eat 2 times a day. No bfast, glass of OJ or a fresh coconut from the tree. Large lunch and an early dinner and done. I track all my activities on my health app as reference. I use the galaxy watch 3 to keep it current. I like the week summary I get every Saturday. Give me an assessment on my activity level and my heart rate (High and low) plus estimated calories burned. I also do weights in the morning.

Again for me, I am not trying to be some buffed health freak. Just sustain myself and stay med free. Oh yeah. I also enjoy a good Bourbon knock or two most every night enjoying the sunset and end of a productive day. My GMa drank a knock of Bourbon almost every day until she passed at 98.

This is my motivation regarding medication if its possible, to become less dependent of the meds I'm taking now, I've fucked my own health up over the years, stopped alcohol over a year ago, and now its my smoking that's going to kill me if I don't stop.

I don't want to use any gadgets as I believe some people become to reliant on them, my GF is a prime example, constantly checking her health and being obsessed with food she eats.

Just had some nice steamed chicken with ginger, chilli and corriander, nice mixed salad baked jacket and a lemon and garlic dressing finished with a banana honey yoghurt drink and fresh passion fruits and satsumas.

The weight will be falling off you if you keep up eating so little, you can even afford to raid the fridge before bedtime on those subsistence rations.

The smoking aside from killing you will be your no1 hypertension problem.

I’ve had high cholesterol for several years controlled by statins. Back in February, out of the blue, came a diabetes 2 diagnosis. Hadn’t even been close before but there it was.

Since that time, I have had smoothies for breakfast. I vary the smoothies and they include fruit, vegetables, and protein sweetened with stevia. Knocked off all white bread and rice, well, anything starchy and white. No white tattles. Lean meat, cheese, veggies for lunch and dinner.

I’ve dropped 25 lbs, the statins, and the metformin over these 9 months.

Now if I can keep going and lose another 25 lbs!

Statins can cause many problems, and ye I choose to come off them myself.

and doing the same as you, blended fruits, and veggies.

A doctor friend of my brother told me to eat Blueberries and lemon grass tea, and ginger and garlic.

I did then got lazy and it all came back the pains in arms, shins and feet, now back on them, though blueberries over here are pretty expensive, so I'll be using the frozen ones.

Wee light n easy leg spinner before breaky.

A great healthy way to start the day.

The fried bacon, fried egg and beans fried in the bacon fat could of course be replaced with banana in vegan oatmeal with broccoli milk, or something, of course.

Whole foods and movement are the pillars of healthy living. And I'm inclined to throw a little stretching and meditation too, for the bonce. Hard habit to get into though, especially the latter.

Not another member of the roasted garlic brigade

Giving up the cigs is the biggest battle!

Had an hour cycling followed by a Ribeye and lots of antioxidant broccoli.
