...like many folks, this has been my modus operandi since I started drinking in my late teens: far too busy during the week with classes, homework, work, work-related activities, etc...but Fri and Sat nights have always been set aside for sipping, chugging or blackouts as the mood/company moved me...a mercy extension these days: wine with lunch on Sundays...and then a nap...

Nice effort, why? Breaking a bad habit? Too poor? Health issue?

On New Years Eve I told my Mrs I would do dry Jan and then I have just carried on from there, and now it's just at the point I don't even fancy a drink, a run or just a decent meal is more appealing.

    It won't last forever though.

TizShe and I were out for a walk this afternoon and passed by a new bar that we thought looked ok.
As I had to get back to zoom meeting tonight I said to her "Lets come this way tomorrow night and stop in for a few beers and a feed."

It took about 20 minutes before it dawned on me... "Hey, can't do that, I'm not drinking.."

To deny yourselves of pleasure is a waste of a life.

Hang on, went a bit Jeff there.

Seriously, where the actual fuck do you manage to find all this information thats always completely wrong when it comes to anything to do with calories and carbs? Ask anyone who isn't totally clueless how many carbs are in drinks like whiskey, vodka, rum, bourbon, tequilla, and gin. Then ask them about mixers like soda water, and pretty much any no-sugar sodas as well while educating yourself

^I'm not clueless dick for brains. I know there isn't many carbs in vodka and soda water which I was drinking, but right now I'd rather my carbs go to veggies and whatever else I want to splurge on and alcohol doesn't make the list, got it? Good. You people think you are so smart and try to show me up when you are the stupid ones. Alcohol still has calories, kapeesh?
