Apparently there is a 15 minute cut of limit , not sure about elsewhere in the world.

A lady who came in at the same time got rejected because of low iron levels, she seemed pretty cheesed off being rejected after making the effort . Understandable really, but safety first.
They check your iron by taking a pin prick drop from a finger and drop it into a test tube of liquid.
If you drop of blood sinks to the bottom of the test tube then I presume your iron content in your blood is heavy enough and you're good to donate.

Plenty of tasty snacks afterwards .

That lady with the low iron level should be grateful for them for pointing it out. And go get tests to find out why.
