I picked up a couple of bottles of "medicine/potion" recently when I was out in the jungle from one of the local tribes. The headman said that it's good for depression, anxiety etc and would make me feel great if I had a small glass every morning.

I'm not suffering from any of these things, but thought I'd get some anyway and I had a small glass the other week. It did indeed make me feel good, but that's probably not because it contained various types of tree bark etc, but more to do with the 40% firewater it was mixed with! I might as well have just gone to the fucking shop and bought a bottle of vodka!

    I remain somewhat sceptical...

I sometimes wonder if I'm depressive, or just knackered and pissed off.

I know there's a subtle difference, but when living in Thailand, a family relying on you, you just have to keep going.

Either way, Ja Dong works for me.

    The dogs for sure!

Nothing wrong with self medicating with alcohol through the trials and tribulations of family life, it's what keeps are sense of humour and sanity.

Looks like the dog on the right of the pic has had one too many lao khaos himself.
