Apple Cider Vinegar + Water in the morning and night.

    All the rage apparently.

    Picked up a bottle.

A tablespoon of ACV in 500ml of water before breakfast.

    Haven't lost any weight yet.

    So what's it all about?

Some sort of fat burner according to Obese Dilly.

People drink a teaspoon in a cup of water before bed, apparently.

Positives and negatives of a tablespoon in the morning and a teaspoon at night? Health benefits?

All just a load of cobblurs?

Nope. There's a plastic thing on top blocking the flow.

Apple Cider Vinegar - the latest, greatest cure-all, kicks the crap out of snake oil and granny's rheumatoid medicine.

Removes, warts, dissolves kidney stones and gall stones, strips paint and polishes metal. It's a floor wax and a dessert topping.

Heard it also takes care of Radioactive Japanese crotch crawlers.

Good luck with it Lu. Did try it. Didn't lose weight - forget what I took it for, but gave up. It didn't deliver - and, it definitely leaves something to be desired on the appetizing taste factor - a big Bleaaaa.... what was I thinking?

    I swear by it.

Two parts Apple Cider Vinegar, one part water.

Add some spring onions and garlic. Great for pickling eggs! No obvious weight loss though.

We use it in a little plastic apple looking trap to catch fruit flys. Also to dissolve hard water residue on the kitchen tap nozzle. Miss fish pours some threw the coffee pot once in a while as well.
I heard it cures ring worm also but clotrimazole is just as good they say.

Never thought to drink the stuff. Now a gin and tonic maybe.

^^ Mendip how long do the eggs have to sit? I do fridge pickles and pickled beetroot, the eggs look interesting.

I don't really know. We get lots of small eggs form our wild hens which I use. After hard boiling and peeling, I pickle them. I guess you can eat them anytime, but the longer they pickle, the more flavour they absorb. After at least a couple of weeks they taste good.

I'm more concerned about how long you can keep them? I've some that have been in the fridge for around eight months now but they still taste good with no after effects (apart from the usual). I keep most stuff in the fridge because our room temperature is so high.

Good for alkalizing your gut and blood. Too much meat, beer, and protein-rich foods are acidic (I used to get Gout, so trust me on this), so stuff like ACV (and simple stuff like baking soda) helps to balance the pH of your blood and prevent Uric acid build up.

Don't forget to dilute the vinegar with a bit of urine, as per Dr Earl's advice.

^^Baking soda I get because it's an alkali.

But how does drinking acetic acid (the main component of vinegar apart from water) 'balance out' acidity?

One might think that fresh lemons and limes and raw organic apple cider vinegar are acidic, but they actually become alkaline when consumed. Prime examples of acid forming foods are proteins, sugar, coffee, juice and processed foods.
Alkaline foods are: Leafy greens, root vegetables (especially radishes), broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, lemons, cabbage, and even some peppers, such as cayenne!
    https://tacanow.org/family-resources...more-alkaline/

Ditto Lemons, Limes, and other 'acidic' fruits like apples, etc. Become alkaline after being consumed.

^Can't find a chart that lists it as a pH value. Normal malt (or clear) vinegar is acidic, but the Apple Cider version metabolizes in the stomach to become alkaline.

Must be preferable to the liquid nitrogen the doc used on my mate's warts. That was painful (my mate said).

All a load of bollix. What ever happened to all the other easy ways to lose weight over the years? Christ, that takes me back to when everyone was eating grapefruit. Did it work? did it hell.

If you are trying to lose weight, adding apple cider vinegar to your diet probably won’t do the trick. Of course, you’d never suspect that was the case by the way it’s been trending on Google health searches. But the popularity of diets frequently has little to do with actual evidence. If you read about a new diet (or other remedy) that sounds too good to be true, a healthy dose of skepticism is usually in order.

I have been partaking for many years, great for the guts and breaking up gallstones, if you are going to take make sure it is cloudy - the clear stuff has all the goodness (the mother) refined out of it!

Apple Cider Vinegar + honey, taking every morning over many years. It really helps for the joints.

It does not help for lose of weight. For that a diet 18/6 is good - ca. 18 hours or so to fast, i.e. leave out an evening dinner, or have just a snack. Some prefer (who like to sleep up to midday) to leave out the breakfast. Of course, the other meals just slightly, eat 50% of usual dish.

Controlling the acidity in the body that tends to rise. Especially after pork meat feat, since for the disposal the body provides more acid that in turn will come into blood that needs to keep very strictly pH 7.35. Therefore, to make it easy for the blood system, to compensate by edible soda (soda kin dai) towards pH8. (checking your urine by pH paper).

Some doctors claim once you do it you can be here up 130 years...

This acidic and alcalic thing is one of the witch doctor wild theories, very wide spread. It does not have any connection to real chemistry. Especially no connection to any stuff being actually acetic or alcaline.
