Last night I went out to a pub with a neighbour. Came home pissed and stoned. Irrelevant back story perhaps, or perhaps not.
Anyway, got into bed and Mrs was horny, so we were doing it, and she got on top. Somehow the angle of our bodies was such that there was pressure on the underside of my penis, and when I ejaculated, I felt a burning pain.
Went to the toilet afterwards to wash up with the bum gun over the toilet pan...instead of semen drips I had blood pouring out of my penis!
"Pouring" is relative. Perhaps a tablespoon or two of blood and continual seeping.
Called wifey to have a look. She was worried.
I think my urethra was torn during a powerful but partialy blocked ejaculation.
This morning's first bladder evacuation, some blood at first but no stinging (good sign I guessed as it meant the wound was healing).
Just went to the toilet again and more blood, still no stinging as I would expect from an open wound exposed to hot urine.

I still think I simply tore my urethra. My worry is there is broken membrane and thus potential infection. What prophylactic measures could I take?
Or, is this a symptom of something more sinister? I seriously seriously doubt an STD.
Anyone had this before? what happened and what did you do?

For anything lesser, you could be excused for not going to a doctor. But as it's an area where you don't want to have future problems, better see one. Even though urine is sterile whilst inside your body.

Otherwise, old-time cure is to insert a 5 mm wide knitting needle and leave it there to ensure the passage doesn't heal up thinner.

A worrying story but a lesson to all that a penis is a delicate "organ" and has to be treated somewhat gently.

There are several different potential causes for this problem, but you should definitely get in to see your primary care doctor or a urologist for a more complete evaluation.

The most likely cause is that you suffered some irritation to the urethra or to the prostate from the sexual intercourse. This is a relatively common complication, especially of vigorous intercourse, and it could be more likely to occur if intercourse has been relatively infrequent. If this is the case, then rest should be all that is needed to heal things up.

There are other possibilities as well. For example, inflammation of the prostate, called prostatitis, can cause both painful ejaculation as well as some blood at the tip of the penis. Similarly hypertrophy of the prostate, which can begin to present itself in someone your age, might also be the cause.

Your doctor will be able to perform a complete examination, include a rectal examination to see if the prostate is swollen, tender, or if it has any nodules that might require further investigation. Based on what they find, your doctor may recommend either a watch and wait approach or they might want to get some additional tests right away.
