    the Benefits of Garlic

We've all read about the benefits of garlic and it can be added to many foods. I used to eat it regularly, chopping up a portion of a bulb and sprinkling it on pasta and sandwiches.

What do you put your garlic with?

    Here's an interesting garlic tonic.

IF YOU EAT GARLIC AND HONEY ON AN EMPTY STOMACH FOR 7 DAYS, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR BODY

    HealthyFood | April 26, 2016

Garlic is present in almost every kind of cuisine on earth.

Not only is it flavorful, it’s also incredibly powerful at healing common ailments.

Although garlic is often served cooked, eating it raw can actually transform this popular spice into a potent medicine .

When it comes to heart health, garlic helps to lower high blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent coronary heart disease and heart attack as well as reverse the effects of atherosclerosis.1234

The bulb is also great for everyday health problems like hayfever, traveler’s diarrhea, cold and flu, bug bites and fungal infections.

When it comes to common health problems, eating garlic regularly can help manage the symptoms of oestoarthritis, diabetes and an enlarged prostate.

The bulb also helps boots your immune system and your body’s ability to get rid of toxins. Combined with ginger and onion, it can even help you detox from chemotherapy.

    How To Use Garlic

It’s better to eat garlic raw, since it’s active ingredient, allicin, is denaturalized by heat. For best results, crush and chop up the clove and leave it for 15 minutes before eating. Crushing the bulb activates a chemical reaction that make allicin more bioavailable.

As for why you should eat it on an empty stomach, it’s quite simple really: When your stomach is overwhelmed with food, it can be harder for your body to process and absorb all the nutrients the food has to offer.

A great way to add raw garlic to your diet is to mix it with honey:

Take 2-3 cloves of garlic and chop them into small pieces.
Mix it with a spoonful of honey.
Eat this mixture every day and you’ll feel more energized and healthy within a week.

How To Make A Garlic Flu Tonic

Please consider wearing gloves if you have sensitive skin, and try not to rub your eyes as you put this tonic together, as some of the natural oils can causes a skin rash or burn.

    Ingredients

Half a yellow onion, roughly chopped
5 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
2 red chili peppers, roughly chopped
1 heaping tablespoon of ginger, roughly chopped
    Juice of one lemon
Apple cider vinegar, organic, unfiltered and raw

    Instructions

Start with a 350 mL to 500 mL mason jar and fill with the roughly chopped onion.
Add the roughly chopped garlic next.

Follow with the red chili peppers, seeds and all.
Then carefully layer some chopped ginger

Squeeze you lemon into a separate bowl, discard the seeds and pour the juice next.
Top off mason jar with apple cider vinegar, leaving about a cm of room at the top.
Cap your jar and leave on your counter or in a pantry.
Your sore throat, cold, and flu tonic is ready for use!

It may just be mental but I find chewing on a piece of garlic to soothe a tooth ache.

Holy sheet batman! on ya, CP... I'm the garlic King... I mentioned all this info last year.

*if any tosser changes that to gay king/queen, I'll stick a bulb of garlic up ye ass..

I swear by it... If I had to pick 1 natural tonic, garlic would be it (next to ACV) apple cider vinegar...

It's nature's most potent anti-biotic/anti-bacteria/anti-aging super food. Just remember to cut the garlic finely, then leave it for 10 mins.

"Garlic is rich in a wide variety of sulfur-containing compounds. One of the best studied is a compound called alliin. Alliin and a related enzyme (named "alliinase") are present but separated inside certain garlic cells when the garlic is whole and unbroken. But when garlic is cut, chewed, chopped, or crushed, these cells can rupture. When they do, the aliinase enzyme can come into contact with the alliin molecule and cause the creation of a new compound called allicin. Allicin can be a very valuable garlic molecule in terms of its health benefits, because its intake has been associated with cardiovascular, anti-bacterial, and anti-cancer benefits. Allicin is also one of the garlic compounds that contributes to the pungent aroma and "bite" we experience from garlic. Chopping, mincing, crushing, or pressing garlic and allowing it to sit for 5-10 minutes can help provide enough time for the alliinase and alliin in garlic to interact and form allicin"

Preparing Garlic to Help Promote Health Benefits

Not to mention it's effect on libido and erection strength is like viagra...

hmm... I admit that sounded a wee bit gay, but fuckit, I'm married I can get away with saying shit like that innit.. + it's true.

Yeah, one of the reasons I've cut down on garlic is b/c of the breath issue.

And when somebody has garlic breath they don't know it.

In some people (and apparently me) the garlic odor can stay for a couple hours or more.

Depends on how much you put in the food of course, but.....

^ There are ways to counter garlic breath... lemon/milk helps...

My method, is to chop the cloves of garlic very, very finely.. leave for 10 mins... then add water to the garlic in a glass - and scull it down without chewing.
Then brush my teeth - have a glass of milk - then the kiss test with my missus...

You won't eliminate it 100% but close enough that the huge health benefit vastly outweighs any minor odor/breath.

Chew on gum during the day, will help too... Garlic is actually good for body odor (given enough time) as it cleans the system from the inside.

    Garlic Vs Onion

Garlic routing: is a variant of Onion routing that encrypts multiple messages together to make it more difficult for attackers to perform traffic analysis. To protect the identity of the sender, messages are encrypted multiple times with the public keys of selected nodes on the network. To be delivered the encrypted packets must be received by routers selected by the sender, in the order specified by the sender. Differently from Onion routing an encrypted packet ("onion") can contain multiple packets ("cloves") with different destinations, and the sender is not required to specify a return path for the message.

I tried this garlic treatment this morning. OMG, I thought I was going to die.

When I had the garlic in my mouth and was chewing it my mouth was filled with an immense burning sensation, then when I swallowed the whole shebang the burning went all the way down my throat and when it reached my stomach I thought the garlic was going to burn a hole through the stomach.

I just crushed and roughly chopped 3 cloves of garlic and added some honey. I left them in an egg cup and ate the potion 15 mins later. Very strong tasting and my wifey won't come near me.

Next time I'll try it your way

I would post pictures but life's too short.

On ya guys for being brave enough to give it a try...

Just take it easy at first (have food in your stomach for the 1st week or so) then try it on an empty gut (which is much more powerful)..

You don't have to do it everyday... 3-4 times a week is still very beneficial.

*Garlic, not sex... although studies have proven the effect of garlic on libido/erection quality and raising testosterone in the body naturally.

A glass of half/half buttermilk & orange juice, a dash of honey and a finely chopped glove of garlic.

Refreshing after breakfast, but not recommended when you have to deal with customers later.

What's wrong with just taking garlic extract? No strong smell and no strong taste and you can take the equivalent of 3 cloves in one or two capsules .

Well, it's a bit like real vs fake titties mate.. Fresh garlic contains sulfur compounds and allicin, which is impossible to replicate/preserve in capsule/pill form.

Fresh or capsuled? Researcher studies garlic’s potency as a supplement

When a person eats fresh garlic, allicin is released by chewing or mincing the herb. It’s more challenging to get allicin from a garlic pill, however. In some cases, if the pills dissolve in the stomach, the garlic enzyme needed to produce allicin becomes inactivated.

    I was taking garlic and
echinacea in pill form - prior to switching to fresh garlic. With fresh garlic, I get a turbo-willy and a massive energy/health boost.
    (did I mention a turbo-charged massive willy?)

Hardly anybody ate garlic in the UK until about 1958. We couldn't buy it in the supermarkets as we didn't have any supermarkets. None of the fruiterers or greengrocers sold it. Just saying.

I love garlic, but nothing kicks off my ulcer faster. There are many websites touting the healing aspects of garlic but medical research shows it actually makes stomach problems worse. Be careful out there . . .

I didn't know people still suffered from (peptic) ulcers. Antibiotics target the baci responsible so it/they can heal.
Quite the scam as the cure has been known for decades , but too much money in pharmaceuticals to release knowledge of a cure.
Mum suffered for nearly 50 years with ulcers . Cured by amoxicillin and a diet change over a few months. Cured as in Ulcers GONE.

Curing people gets rid of customers. That why we have symptoms now, and not illnesses.

Anyway - garlic. Not many savory foods that are not made better by having someraw garlic grated on top. In salads it is superb, and if you take a doner kebab home, stick on some grated garlic. Brilliant.

As for the smell? Who cares! It's some other fuckers problem is they don't like it.
