    CMN, you've probably Googled it, but as far as I know, the primary thing to take into consideration with arthritis is inflammation. Your wife may need to include anti-inflammatory foods and eliminate inflammatory ones. Or eliminate whatever it has been (like drinking alcohol) which has caused her body to develop systemic inflammation.

    Even if it's not true arthritis, inflammation is probably the (not necessarily primary) cause of her joint aches. I myself still haven't sorted out the primary cause of my previous back inflammation....but the reality is that magnesium keeps it at bay.

    Try to make sure your wife is not getting too much pro-inflammatory Omega-6 essential fatty acids (common in the modern diet), and has enough anti-inflammatory Omega-3 EFAs.
    Fish oil capsules contain Omega-3.

    I'm just doing everything I can by taking Magnesium and fish oil, and including anti-inflammatory foods in my diet.

    You probably don't have the money to buy a lot of stuff, but the herbs Boswellia and Devils Claw are natural anti-inflammatories.

    Pop in for a massage stopover here and a cold one its 295 from Talad Yai on back rds but those huge hills around the hotsprings plus manic vans make me nervous in a truck let alone a cycle, or better start from here where its only a pleasant days ride and few Mts.HNY

    Sorry to hear Noony.

    Calcium/Vitamin D/ Fish Oils all excellent suggestions.

    Stay away from Sugar.. surprisingly sugar is awful for causing all kinds of problems. Sugar causes inflammation. A bit of fruit sugar is okay, but table sugar is awful. When I did a few juice cleanses I had 80% veggies, 20% fruit and and after a few days my knees aches and other aches went away.

    Not sure if you are drinking again, but booze has loads of sugar.
