Yeh FUCK cycling on the road in Thailand - simply just a big FUCK THAT.

Aren't there multiple custom built loops in BKK where you can pedal without the worrying of being ploughed into by a ten year old yabba head on a tractor?

I'm not sure cycling would be in my repertoire if I move back Siam-side.

Yeah, it's the only public road I'll ever ride on here. It also goes right behind one poster's place of work, so has the added bonus of wiping me coc.... waving hello as I go past.

Currently doing afternoon delts, pecs, triceps and abs.

Do triceps on the bench like this:

Then flip a weight to my chest for the ab crunches.

The addition of the weight when doing ab crunches really gets noticeable quickly.

Didn't Mendy order a big gym set when he returned to Thailand 3 or so months ago?

    How's it going?

What sort of daily program are you doing?

I have a good friend in CM that bikes all over the place on his bike and posts heaps of pics about it on fb. I don't know how he does it because it looks dangerous to say the least. Maybe better than BKK though.

1.5 hour hike on bog trail. Just wishing it'd warm up some.
Back to dumbbell workout for arms/chest and back. Gotta get some motivation again.
Glad to see some of you are continuing your workouts.

I'm doing left buttock, right testicle, shins and feet today. Exclusively working on one bollock can sometime be problematic, especially when the gym's busy, but it's amazing what can be achieved with a little creativity and a battle rope.

Cycling at around 7:30am works well this time of year, also reduces later night alcohol consumption. Win win.

Our home is bounded by three fast main roads and accidents are commonplace... there is no way that I'd cycle on the roads here, and besides, I haven't got a bike. And it's just too hot... we have 30 degrees by 7am at the moment. If I haven't done the dog walk by 7am they don't get walked.

But... things are taking shape. Virtually every day the daughter and I do 50 lengths in the pool (12m) which takes just under 20 minutes. Sadly I've trained her too well and my daughter is now a faster swimmer then me and I spend the 50 lengths trying to catch her... and prevent her from lapping me in which case she gets unbearably smug. It's good to have a chase and I'm well puffed out at the end of the swim and my heart is pumping away... I reckon that must be better than a cycle ride... there are no hills to cruise down in the pool. I plan to build this up to 84 lengths a day which is 1 kilometre and should take around 30 minutes.

I also have a cross-trainer which I can do 20 minute sessions on.

And a gym is on it's way... another 30 minutes a day on that. This is doable long term as it still gives me plenty of time to spend doing a myriad of mindless shit jobs around the garden.

Then will do a 45 minute bicycle sprint in the evening before a gluttonous amount of Friday beer and food.
