^Hit a punch bag for a few rounds. A lot more fun (and beneficial) than treadmills or stationary bikes. Great outlet for testosterone (and internet) angst also. And you don't look girlie-girlie.

More fun, but with a different set of benefits, I'd say. The step mill is my most favourist piece of cardio appartus in the gym - because it's hard, especially when you've got a 20kg sandbag on your back

Got this new jogging route I do with the dog in the morning which takes in a disused golf course - so I incoporate my own little plyometric bunker jumping sequence into proceedings. Nice bit of fasted cardio with added plymometrics in the morning is hard to beat.

I often wonder how accurate those calorie counter things are.

Not saying they aren't just that I'm a bit suss of them at times.

Does seem a tad excessive when you think walking for an hour at 6kmh burns about 400 max and I'm sat typing this on my phone and sorting out my dream team whilst doing this.

The sweat is pissing off though

Tipped the scales at 260 on Jan 25.
Went back to the gym that day, using the elliptical, free weights, and sauna, and drastically changed the diet. No sweets, low carbs, with small portions, and no meals past 5 o’clock in the afternoon.

    234 today

Yeah, real running or biking is great. Never liked the stationary versions at all though.

Are you trying out for the SAS with the sandbag routine.?

    Bloody yo-yo dieting / exercising!

Remember when I wrote you that massively long PM about diet and exercise?

Well the condensed Reader's Digest version of that was: 'do some shit that's sustainable as a lifestyle so you're not yo-yo'ing like a muthafucka!' (or words to that effect )

    Break day today.

Stick with it Dill, in sustainable amounts (both diet and exercise), good on ya for trying to get back into it. Get sweating at least 6 days a week and cut down on your crappy diet.

Btw, do words such as grotesque, hippo-gut, hippo-head, large stinking hippo-shit, malformed freak etc etc help motivate?

I can continue if they do.

^& Yeah... but Christmas.. and Greggs and mince pies and chocoolates and beer
And i haven't been able to exercise because of surgery.

None of your advice was in vain though, i understand all about nutrition and how many calories are inside things now and can shed it easily when I want.
Plus I'm off alcohol now which will speed up the process.

And I'm nowhere near the 97kgs I was at last year

I do miss the feel good factor of exercise. And I think that's the main thing, once you get that and enjoy it and can't wait to get sweating you've cracked it.

It is easy to fall into a little rut though and use the weightbench as a clothes horse

    Go Dilly!

    Go Dilly!

    Have you set any targets?

I just saw a half-marathon organized for later this year, send the info to Miss TT as our next target. 21km in 2 hours. Got a good half year of training to get to that level.

    85kgs was nice.

I might try and break 80kgs so I can get on the deathslide at the waterpark

Just gonna concentrate on healthy eating now and exercising everyday. Its amazing how much more energy you have when you do exercise, compared to being a slovenly fat bastard, eating in bed and getting up only for Midnight snacks

Good luck with your mini marathon. I might aim for a goal like that at some point.
    Baby steps

Gonna do some hiking the weekend

Let's set some targets for the year.

End of the year, or perhaps the beginning of December.

    73kg, and running a half-marathon 21km in 2 hours.

    Anyone else?

yea, Lu, you too... although it may actually be a case of OCD...

For myself I'll just maintain my daily 30 min 5km run and leave well enough alone - if it ain't broke I'm not gonna fix it

Stepped the level up too soon and struggled today

Getting back down to 85kgs shouldn't take long if those scales are to be believed.

    Well, I don't know Dill, seems you're a sprinter.

At 30 klicks an hour you may well be overdoing it just a tad bit.

Probably best not to be so aggressive, eh?

^ Dunno about that. Wanna get into that interval training on there soon though.

I'm gonna take a photo of my gut sideways in the bathroom mirror starting from today and in a Month I'll turn it into a gif, hopefully you'll be able to see a huge reduction and inside my bedroom.

    Anyone else up for it?
