Bittova question with regards to swimming.
We're moving to a house with a pool, so gonna be adding swimming to me daily midweek exercise.
I'm currently doing 7-8km walking/jogging every weekday morning.
1st question.
Is it better to switch between swimming and walking/joking every second day. Monday - swimming. Tuesday - Jogging. Wednesday - swimming, etc.
Or is it better to combine them every day? 4 Km jogging, then xxx meters swimming five days a week?
2nd question, what is the approx swimming distance to burn the same amount of kcal burned in 1km of jogging? If I burn, say 100Kcal per Km jogging, around how many meters of swimming would burn the same?
Cheers.
1- if you were walking fast enough, you would already know that a dip afterwards would be a godsend and a great idea
2- How big is the swimming pool? I'm guessing around ten metres max? So 8042 laps of butterly stroke should do it.
Your welcome
You just wake up early get a run in. Then go about your day remembering to try and get in 400 steps an hour or so. Then go out about 5pm for another hour and you have an exercise routine. If you can stick to it you will feel better, and be able to eat all you want. Everyday since May 1 last year.
Lulu at your age, 40 you will have lost 5% of your muscle mass if you had any in the first place
( you lose 1% a year after age 35)
What you need is a weight bench, some weights, a curl bar, some dumb bells, tricep bar and a pull up bar and in a Month you'll see a big difference in your physique, in 3 months a huge difference.
Get some decent Whey Protein powder and you'll be like that guy in your pic in no time.Start injecting the juice and you'll have the body of Ant
If you haven't noticed yet walkers and runners are skinny bastards. Swimming uses a lot more muscles than running, is better on the joints and swimmers have better physiques than runners, so is the one to do more than the other. You won't have that thrushed up nutsack too.
Wow. Probably in the same heat too
That better be your way of saying I take it up the back passage because I'm not on 'roids!Originally Posted by Dillinger

Time for a protein shake and a session at the gym.
^^
A 5 mile run in just over 39 minutes. I'm very pleased with that.
^ That's not bad.
5km of strolling. 20 minutes of pool lolling. Few lengths of Mont Claire to finish.
