lifting a very heavy gate that had come off the track. Sheer stupidity mate, I should have known better. Early morning after a cold shower. Just silly. Sure as hell wont do something like that again.

Good to see a bit of humour in this thread.

Did a 10/10 hopper today on the final corner in the wet.

Down on the right, then a highside somersault over the bars that were scraping along the tarmac.

Luckily only had the moo baan security guard as a witness, who just stood there looking bewildered as I took a few minutes to untangle myself, straighten up the bars, and check my vagina for any damage.

Now have two swollen sprained wrists so that's the upperbody gym out for a few days. Guess it's nothing but upper and lower abs and milking as much sympathy as possible over the next few days. :/

The 150 baht Decathlon gloves surprisingly did their job, have all the sensation and imprints of my palms being shredded, without them actually being so.

A good reminder to always glove up. While doing wonders on the sympathy front, having shredded palms isn't much fun (drinking beer through a straw).

Who's good at palm reading. LD?

    ^^

Tarmac is indeed pretty unforgiving. This is a photo from when I was hit by a pick up at a junction, and went down on my left side. To get some scale on it, the top of the bruising is just about the top of my hip bone, and the bottom on the side of my thigh about half way to my knee. Could hardly walk for about two weeks. I was about 3 Km from home, having just done 100 km.

30 minute jog only covers a pitiful 4km.

In my defense I am 5kg overweight and have been unable to do anything but sit on my lard ass and play computer games for the last 2 weeks. #snub.life

Want to be back to doing 10km in under an hour by the end of October.

I managed a yearly high of 92,450 steps and 5 x 10hour days working last week. I've done more steps in a week-end in my youth but was well pleased with this at my age...

That looks pretty nasty, bless. Reminds me of a fall I took on tarmac rollerblading down a hill with no protective gear on. What hurts most is when you get little stones and pebbles in your skin and then trying to get them out by the doc is even worse. Hope you've healed okay by now. Looks very painful.

Started swimming indoors again today which I love to do. I realized that I had swimming on my garmin, so turned it on. Not bad for the first time out in a long time.

Did a two hour hike yesterday, the fall leaves are starting to change here. I did stop for about half hour at times, and didn't pause the watch.

Good to be back in the game.. great stuff. Too cold to bike here now.

Joined a very nice gym a month ago, and today did an hour TRX group class. Brutal workout, really great stuff. I recommend TRX training to anyone.

A glimpse of what it is.

Hahah!! Not gay in the least, both men and women enjoy the benefits.

    -----
Did a lot this evening at the gym, An hour class of core training (bodyweight exercises), and then 25 mins of laps in the pool.... best part was sitting in the hottub afterwards.

This is my second time swimming laps in about five years. I joined a gym with a pool and I absolutely love swimming. Got the goggles, earplugs, speed cap. I'm trying to beat my time every time I swim. I'd like to get to 30 mins and then do that at least two maybe three times a week, plus all othe other workouts/classes I do on top of that.

    Nailed it.

Crowned off the week by upping it to 50Km Friday.

Will aim for 50 km before breakfast everyday next week, in what I call The Blelter.

Abs, pecs, delts and triceps in the afternoon.
