You must have been doing something wrong then. Too slow, too short a time, in an air-con environ, not often enough, etc and still drinking beer and/or eating sugar-added food on top of it.

It worked for me, so it can work for others.
    2Prick,,

Your cross-trainer workout of 15 minute sessions 4 or 5 times per week, demolished your gut for you.

But there is a massive ingredient: diet.

Diet is everything. Your Macros (protein/carb/fat) ratio, type of carbs you intake, and your total caloric intake.

    Plus, your metabolism.

What you eat before this cross-training could influence the results also.

Good on you, but each individual has different routines that work for him/her.

^ What I drink before/after working out does indeed make a big difference.

    For anyone.

And it isn't called beer or being in denial.

    Smile Beer Gut

Came back to Thailand from UK after two months of fish and chips and regular intakes of UK dark beer weighing 98 Kilo and feeling generally YUK. Constant indigestion, getting up at night for a pee even difficulty in getting up from an armchair. Decided to do something about this situation as quality of life was far from good.
    1) Cut down on quantities of food consumed increase fruit and fibre intake, but have one good steak meal every Sunday (now comes as a bit of a treat). Cut out all biscuits, crisps, sweats, chocolate, cakes, KFC,s and drinks such as coke or sevenup.
    2) Cut out all alcohol of any sort. Have experimented with home made fruit juices some of which are surprisingly tasty and thirst quenching.
    3) Brought out the old bicycle from the garage and started cycling 8 klm every morning, hard at first taking forty five minutes per trip now can do in about twenty five minutes same trip without any real effort.
    4) Took some doing but cut out inter meal nibbles now only have breakfast and lunch with some melon or similar in the evening.
    5) got into the routine of finding some type of manual work during the morning, resting after lunch to read or do crosswords and on occasion watch a little tele.
The overall effect is great now down to eighty four kilo after seven months (aim to lose about another four kilo if I can) no longer feel YUK can lift a fifty kilo bag from the floor onto my shoulder (January could not even pick it off the floor) My quality of life is so much better all round (even sex life vastly improved) I recommend everyone to get their weight and exercise levels back to a reasonable level at 75 years I am certainly reaping the benefits. Incidentally my cholesterol and blood sugar levels are in the lower side of normal. Also no getting out of bed at night for a 'pee' or any more indigestion.

Why does the disposition of the trainer have anything to do with it?
Furthermore, what does red wine have to do with it? Will wine coolers work?

Because red wine contains a B vitamin and doesn't expand the starch in your system like beer does.

    And by a cross-trainer, I'm referring to a machine, not a person.
    .

Virtual = not real. Don't get over it. Understand it.

    Wine: The Most Diet-Friendly Choice
If you’re going to drink, wine is the most calorie-friendly selection with a typical 20 calories per ounce. Each 5-ounce glass would then be 100 calories with no cholesterol, sodium or fat. This is true for both red and white wine, from merlot to chardonnay. Sherry, a sweet, fortified wine runs a bit higher with 32 calories per ounce but it is usually served in smaller portions as an after-dinner drink.

if you cant live without alcohol and you really need it, then maybe drink some red wine... though, im not sure if it is really "healthy" compared to beer, what has specific ingredients, you cant buy elsewhere...

in almost any food there is vitamin b...
what is "special" in red wine, as it is in grapes, is resveratrol and opc...
but if you need THIS, then supplement it...

alcohol is BAD - whether it contains resvertrol vitamin b or whatever or not...

avoid it by any chance, but at least dont tell yourself its something "healthy"...

Hmm, I have my reservations and I don't much care for your link.

Regardless, you still thought a cross-trainer was a person.

Well done indeed , do you still eat rice or bread or potatoes ?

I would imagine if you gave up all that beer it would come off a lot quicker

Kurgen, I'm interested in the specifics of your eating plan as well.

I am assuming you've reduced / eliminated high glycemic simple carbs such as white rice, etc.

pls dont believe every bullshit those "medical" idiots talk...

just dont "believe" it - but test it out for yourself...

e.g. dont eat for a few days and then eat a very simple meal...

e.g. only raw vegetables OR together with
    - bread OR
    - potatoes OR
    - rice...

are you not able, to find out what does do good or bad to you ?
do you have to read fucking books, that only put dribble which is merely rumors at people...?

do you have in fact to skip things all you like, because you subconsciously believe, that only "suffering" can be healthy...?
is "healthy dieting" a psychiatric condition or what ?

look at yourself, what food does do to you...

    have you tried ?

The veggies will lower the GI Index.
