going to a gym is gay and a waste of time unless you are a one-track sportsman
just live an active life, walk, bike, dig the garden, whatever
do some yoga, take up a sport even, but don't waste your time and money in a gym unless you are stuck in some hotel for months and that is the only exercise available
I have reported your post
daily telegraphIntensive exercise for two minutes 'as good as a 90 minute run'
Short bursts of exercise lasting just 150 seconds could help protect against heart disease as much as a 90-minute run or longer but less strenuous workouts, according to new research.
Research suggests shorter bursts of exercise can help reduce the levels of fat in the blood.

Evidence from a study of men aged 18 to 35 indicated brief but intense exercise was more effective at reducing blood fat levels, which can linger in the body after eating and begin the process of clogging up arteries.
In an experiment led by researcher Stuart Gray, a group of men was asked to sprint, cycle or walk for half an hour.
Those who exercised at peak levels for 30 seconds before resting for four minutes and repeating, saw the fat in their blood drop faster than those who walked at a brisk pace in line with Government guidelines.
The results, reported in the Daily Mail, showed walking cut fat by 11 per cent, compared with not doing any exercise, while short periods of exercise helped reduce fat by 33 per cent – the same effect as a 90-minute run.
Dr Gray, of Aberdeen University, told the British Science Festival that two-minute workouts may be more effective in causing the liver to process more fat from the blood before storing it or burning it off.

He said that, while the high intensity training "won’t necessarily" improve strength, it does boost endurance.
He added that the short duration of the exercise was ‘highly important as time is often cited as the main barrier to taking part in exercise."
However, he said exercising for brief period between resting meant the whole workout took 20 minutes and had to be done regularly.
Dr Gray said: "Although moderate intensity, longer sessions of exercise can help protect the body against cardiovascular disease, the findings of our study showed that higher-intensity shorter intervals of exercise might be a more effective method to improve health and reduce the time commitment to exercise."
sex is the answer
plenty of sex
Formally I done a lot of long distance running and now have a dicky left ankle.
The pressure and impact on your joints and particularly knees from doing this very physically demanding exercise cannot be good for you and it certainly affects you once you get past 50.
I also done a lot of swimming and believe this is far and away the best form of exercise.
Gym............Yes, been there and done that for about 2 weeks and it bored the shit out of me.
Bike riding is also good if you can find the right location but you must be careful of testicle damage let alone dangerous drivers.
Fok this, all this exercise talk has made me thirsty and I'm off down the pub. Must ring Daveboy as he is in town and is thirsty also.
^ The way I see it 2 prick the best way for you is obviously do what suits you ,as I said previously Mountain bike riding through the little Country lanes is great fun and even more so if you can get a friend or your good lady to join in
Provided you do different types of workouts (i.e lifting every other day, cardio on alternate days, etc) you should be okay (provided you enjoy it). As many posters have stated, you need to let muscles recover after a hard workout or two.
Alternating lifting, swimming, running, boxing, etc keeps you fit and lets the other muscles recover (and prevents you from looking like a muscle-bound hulk).
30 minutes seems a little short for any meaningful workout. I would do at least 45 min to an hour to get the most benefit from the trip to the gym (unless you are going there for other reasons - hot babe, etc).
Cheers,
How come the batty slappers are concerned with PE?
If you like going to the gym, carry on, carry on.
Nothing really matters.
Ooo oo oo oo oo oo .
