Pattaya - Oohsa's Bar and restaurant

Now this place is a bit weird, it is down Soi Khao Talao which probably has won awards for the worst infrastructure in Thailand, this used to be a little country lane leading out of Pattaya to somewhere else in Thailand that nobody ever bothered going to, so the road was the perfect size for its usage, then property developers built loads of housing estates to house the sex starved farangs and now it is basically a 3 km traffic jam, the road is too narrow to park on it without blocking the traffic so the natives end up blocking the traffic when they decide to park, yes, don't worry we aint gonna go down the road of how inconsiderate some people can be cos they don't give a fok anyway.

So you go about 3 kms down this road and you will arrive at this Aussie run place, suprisingly they are very similar to normal human beings, yep 2 arms and legs and all the normal stuff us lot have, ok first off I should mention that the toilet is outside, but the toilet is really nice, obviously he must have copied the idea from someone else but it is quite tastefull and clean, now this place being about half a km from the nearest concrete structure is bloody freezing at night, the whole place is open air and in an octaganal shape surrounded by the jungles of Pattaya, the food he does is mainly English so I think he maybe an English Gentlemen pretending to be an Aussie so he can get away with outrageous stuff when he is pissed up, the unusual thing about this restaurant bar is that they have ladies available for rental for short durations of time, never understood restaurants doing that but hell, who am I to complain.

All in all quite a nice place for a few drinks and some proper English food, well, and girls if you want one of them as well.

hmmm, we are trying to steer this away from a whore house forum and put nice stuff in here, ie places that you can have a shag and a pony, as none of youi like the pictures that memock takes of his victims I thought it best to take pictures of the toilets

Nice Pub, but-
The falang owner was run out of Thailand.
Something dodgy is going on- last time I was there a group of uniformed soldiers paid the place a visit, and were giving some sort of hard time to the managerss/owneress.
It's currently closed, meant to be reopening on the 18th June I think.
Last time I was there, it wasn't doing food anymore.

Will check it out when it reopens, and see whats going on.

Well, guess I should update you on Oohsa's. It's been open again for a while now, but it's now called Usa's. It's being run by Usa herself now, she seems like a very nice lady but the previous operator- an Aussie- ain't gonna tell you that at all. Turns out they had some kind of dispute, and he was turfed out on his ear- no, he wasn't run out of Thailand after all. Pattaya has an amazing rumour mill.

So depending on wether your loyalties lie with Usa and her bar, or the previous Aussie Manager, you have two choices-

Usa's Bar (the New Oohsa's Bar

)- does food, nice elevated location, nice friendly girls with lumps in all the right places. They are putting on a bit of an effort too- they've had a couple of parties. It's a nice bar, one of the better on the darkside imo, and you certainly won't be starved of female companionship.

PJ's Bar- keep heading along Soi Khao Talo, the road curves around a bit and somehow transforms itself into Soi Khao Noi, which will take you all the way back to Sukhumvit- a horshoe. Anyway, roughly 1.5 km's on you get to PJ's on the right- you can't keep an Aussie down for long, and this is where the jilted operator from Usa's has reopened. Quite a pleasant atmosphere, affable host, very Aussie inspired menu- stews & stuff, the usual carb laden stodge that you need when hungover. Not sure if the girls are, erm versatile, but the place seems to tick over quite well. Worth a look.

I am unfortunate enough to have a house in Soi Kautolo.
They are building and building like crazy without a thought for how peeps are going to get in and out of the narrow country road......

They have started building a wide road along the Railway tracks too and goodness knows what that will endup doing to the already congested
Soi.

It's a nightmare!

Bog photo's are good - in a bar review context, of course. There's nothing worse than going for a dump & finding a hole in the ground. It could make the difference being going to a bar or not.

I tried to find this plaxe last night, DD's photo of the toilets impressed me, but got complety lost, ended up driving around for 2 hours. Funnily enough I passed it on the way home, but find it again, no way. What fcking mess that area is !

Old people get confused very easily, I have to admit I have no idea how quickly the old gits brains deteriorate, but I believe once it starts it's like a real slippery slope and pretty soon their mind goes completely, it's quite sad really, there peterpan was amongst us posting normally, then a week later he wont even know what a pc is, personally I think you have to feel sorry for his wife and kids as they will end up having to take care of him and changing his nappys and stuff like that, all quite sad.....
