    Well known pubs closing down

On the back of the recent closure of the Pickled Liver, the Bulls Head has also been affected and will close its doors on Thursday 14th of July! 17 years after it opened.

Both pubs are now looking for alternative premises and future re-openings. Seems landlords are hiking prices for property rentals in central Bangkok beyond what can be afforded for pubs.

Soi 33 1/2 would make a nice mini mall. We need another mini mall.

Bloody hell, just checked my inbox and your right.

Although the email I got does say that Billy and the Staff will all be over at The Barbican on Soi Thaniya until they can find a new location.

yep, not surprising, the land lord needs more cash in this difficult inflationary economy, so the best policy is to pull as much as you can from the suckers who rent your place

    so typically Chinese,

And I wish Nick all the best as he didn't deserve the shit that this bitch of a landlady served him up.

Apparently the new bar is in the next Soi walking back towards Nana, about the same floor space and has parking and he will make it a success.

The old place was on soi 11 so it's a couple down from it (the same soi as Eden Club).
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Thailand beers more expensive than a beer in Paris on the Champs Elysees, quite a sad situation

Known them both for years from when before they moved from the top of 22 to where they have just closed. You probably know me, we certainly know some of the same people.

I sometimes drink in Neil's in Queen's Park Plaza, far right alleyway, right at the end. A good place with some decent blokes drinking there.
