Furthermore, invariably there is no product information giving the ratio of pork to other constituents and one is therefore quite unable to make a valued judgement when choosing the product. Incidentally, I firmly believe garlic and onion should never be seen before lunch and detest eating anything for breakfast that might include those ingredients.
What I'm after is something like the Porkinson Banger or those made by the Black Farmer. Is this an impossible quest?
So far the best I've discovered is the breakfast sausage sold by the Oriental Hotel shop in Emporium next to the Gourmet supermarket but in truth it's nearer to a plain German sausage than a good old British snorker.
    Any ideas?
I quite enjoy a Cumberland sausage for my weekly English breakfast. We also get some nice back bacon here and the Midget bakes the best bread in Isaan, so I'm quite spoilt.

Went into BigC (steady - no foul comments yet!) the South Pattaya branch and they have set up a nice clean freezer section (trying to copy Makro I think) in there there is a new brand doing Cumberlands, pork fatboys, breakfast sausages etc calls himself "Asia West" got some but untried altho have had good reports. He was at Jester's fair last year and has only just got them available down here - cheap too. (175 baht per kilo).

Just back from London stocked up with Sainsburys economy pork sausages where a pack of 8 cost 50 pence ( 24 baht ). Probabaly full of crap but they taste bloody lovely and don't burst when fried.

Also brought back the following :

    6 crumpets .................... 29 pence
100 tetly tea bags ..............1 pound
    800 grams of chedder ....... 4 pounds
punet of strawberrys ......... 2 pounds
    punet of mushrooms ...............1 pound
    punet of cherries ...................2 pounds
    shortbread biscuits ( large ) .... 1.20
box of chardonay 2.25 litres.......11 pounds
    2 mince beef pies ............... 1 pound

Yep , all set for some pretty tasty breakfasts for a week or two.

    You drink Chardonnay for breakfast?

The odd Bloody Mary's fine on occasion but tippling plonk is another matter entirely.

Glad you guys are continuing the Traditional English Cardiac Arrest Breakfast.

My Mrs a chef, my best friend a medical doctor. UNfortunately they get along and started a campaign that I resisted but gradually got ground down. Unfortunately I eat healthy now!! Lost weight, feel better. look better (so she tells me).

    God I miss real food.

    You guys are cruel

Ahh, perfectly acceptable with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and then back to bed for a bit of rumpy pumpy.

Unfortunately the wine never survived until breakfast so we'll never know but having had one or two champagne breakfasts before I think it would wash down the bangers and sauteed mushrooms a treat.

    The best in Thailand is:

    Contact Us - B.M.Quality Food

They deliver all over, specially restaurants... When i was in Korat they came by every wednesday, we made group orders and one restaurant kept it for us,

Many types and lots of choices, German managed, one of my favorite was that spicy Italian breakfeast sausage, miss that one !

BM food was difficult to find, only in selected supermarket, but specially they serve food professionals, such as restaurants and hotels

That is a bloody good sausage from BM.

I like BMfoods and Bunters sausages. I wouldn't choose between them and say that one was better because they both do different styles which are excellent in their own right.

Me too but the struggle continues - decent casings. Royal Food in Pattaya no longer stock hog or sheep and state that what they do have is unsuitable for banger style - have tried to email Globo, another supplier from Alibaba and finally supposedly the "largest suppier of collagen casings" - Viscofan.

Many emails no replies. Korat Chef are you finding casings and here? The ones out of Makro are like a cross between a tyre and a double strength condom....not that I've eaten any of those, but the imagination is a fine thing.
So if anyone knows where I can get collagen casings, please let me know. Me and herself have had some excellent results on Sai Oua and a Larp Moo recipe off this site, but I am still fiddling on he bangers side - pretty close though.

I can't help you with a supplier in Thailand but have a look here:

    http://www.agri-biz.com/cocode-80055635-dirid-149-coname-MEATTECH+INTERNATIONAL+PTE+LTD-CompanyProfile_MG.aspx

I know that this guy is selling casings all over Asia for the last 30 years and he might be able to tell you where you can find them here.
