haha - nah there are enough 'characters' living around these parts that drink too much that always give us something interesting to write about!
This was our front page story this week.
A Halls Creek man has undergone emergency surgery in Perth to stitch back on his nose - ripped off by dogs.
But it wasn't just a man being attacked by dogs - police will allege the two dogs were set onto the man during a brawl with the animals' owner in a Halls Creek caravan park.
It will be alleged the 48-year-old victim had been fighting with the owner of the pit bull cross dogs at about 9pm on Sunday.
Police believe the man fell over and the 41-year-old owner of the dogs Andrew James Hoodles allegedly held him down and set the dogs on him.
One of the dogs ripped the man's nose off as they both attacked.
The victim also suffered extensive facial lacerations.
He was rushed to Halls Creek Hospital and treated whilst the Royal Flying Doctor was called in to transfer him to Perth for surgery.
Hoodles appeared in Halls Creek Court on Tuesday, charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody to appear in the Broome Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Halls Creek Shire rangers seized the two dogs and are holding them pending a court order.
The attack followed closely on the heels of a road-rage incident in Perth during which a motorist was attacked by another driver's pit bull terrier.
In that attack the victim lost part of his ear.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.
There's an "In 'n Out" right near my Mom's house. Always jammed a lunch time. I haven't seen an Orange Julius in ages. A high school friend of mine used to work at one and give me free drinks and chili dogs. I always thought their "secret" ingredient was malt powder, but Wiki says:Originally Posted by Camel Toe
Orange Julius still has a web page: Orange JuliusOrange Julius is a fruit smoothie, created by blending frozen orange juice, ice cubes, and a mixture of powdered sugar and dairy creamer
Lets liven this story up a bit

mate - thats awesome, CNN will be sure to offer you a job!!
Actually there are many A&Ws being 'built' as the parent company ties them in with remodeled KFCs. There must be a dozen or so around here now.
One of the franchises I really miss is Boston Market. Man, now that was some good eats for a fast food joint.
Strange thing for me is that in my opinion the McDs and other fast food joints in Thailand seem to taste better than the ones here with the same name.
Oh, yeah, and In N' Out rocks. I wish they had them here
I used to drop by the A&Ws at the pump Jet opposite Thammarsat Ransit after workin in Pathum Thani. Their chicken strips kick ass and the root beer float hit the stop every time. The burgers were bite size and i used to buy them 3 at a time to fill up. Better than McDs.
In-n-Out has the BEST cheap burgers, but they're only in California and maybe Nevada.
I gave up on the A&W floats at the drive-ins. We can get canned or bottled A&W at the grocery -- pour it over really good Breyer's vanilla ice cream.
A & W has gots to have the thinnest burgers of any burger joint I've ever been to in my life.
Rootbeer floats are the best thing about an A & W.
I think BM expanded too quickly and into regions where people have no tastebuds. The style of food (despite the name) was really more Southern style. I was quite disappointed when I moved here to see them close.
I've seen them on my visits to the US, but never visited. What sort of food did they serve? To me the name implied fresh veggies and seafood.Originally Posted by surasak
Mostly homemade type items: fried or rotisserie chicken, spaghetti, various fresh vegetables, fresh breads.
Good stuff. When I lived back South BM and Cracker Barrel were my favorites.
Boston Market :: Restaurant :: Food
^Thanks for the link. Sort of up-market coffee shop food. Hard to see why it wouldn't do well anywhere in the US.
Yeah, the pictures and web site don't really do it justice though. Much better than it seems (if that's possible). I'm not one to rave on a restaurant chain as most of them serve warmed up frozen slop (I've worked in my fair share) but this one is one of the tops IMHO.
Looks like they have some in CA. When I move there next year I'm going to have to search one out.
I think there is one up where my Dad lives on the central coast of California. I'll visit him next month and get him to check it out. He's probably already a frequent customer....Originally Posted by surasak
There are a few up in the Bay Area - or at least there were 3 years ago. Not really my sort of place, I usually cooked myself or went to little hole-in-the-wall Chinese or Mexican places, but for take out they were very good.
When I went to LA when I was 15 the first place my cousin took me to was an in and out place!
That was more important then Disney Land, Movie world and a lakers game which came later!
And, the verdict? Was it worth the trip?Originally Posted by MeMock
That was a long time ago - but I do remember him telling me it was the ducks nuts of burgers and I guess as far as take away burgers it was pretty good but not as good as a counter meal at ya local
I do remember him throwing his car keys out with the rubbish as we ate it in the car park.
