I have a few trees and it is jack fruit. Hardly used in cooking at all here compared to Sri Lanka. Still dont really like the stuff. Makes a great gift though.
Jackfruit and it's smaller cousin, forgotten the name, is vile stuff. Give me a nice durian anytime instead :smileylaughing:

Yep, they're basically crisps. In the pic they aren't flavoured at all..but you choose the flavour you want, paprika, spicy, etc etc..(can't remember to be honest) he then adds that flavour (powdered) to a bag, drops the crisps in and gives it a damn good shake..very tasty.Quote:
