I'd like to get a nice gas one like CMN's, but everyone else is against having one indoors, so I have the choice of getting an expensive leccy one or maybe putting a gas one outside.....

^Not sure, but I'm guessing the definition of a microwave is that...it uses microwaves to cook!

Just buy a cheap one from Tesco. Mine cost under 2000 baht and I prefer it to the mega-expensive one that it replaces which has broken down four times and total repair bills have come to about 6000 baht.

^Hmm. Strange spending patterns. 30,000 for the kitchen tap and only 2K for an oven?

Correct, except that the OP is a seppo so he would call an oven a stove

It looks like what we call a "toaster oven" to me, not a microwave.

    From Moulinex:

    Could be a convection oven?

Whatever, the damn thing is called it blew up before I could stick my lasagna in it. Made a hell of a mess and the old lady thought it was my fault.

I'm going to HomePro tomorrow to take a look at the expensive big boys and then will probably buy at Big C like CMN.

Incorrect - an oven is an oven, but a microwave oven is an oven that uses microwaves. The above is a microwave oven shaped toaster oven.

^Well, the Moulinex site I got that piccy from called it an "oven":

    Quickchef Oven

It's definitely not a microwave, as those are on a different page.

    Also, see this page:

no bloody wonder - your not supposed to preheat microwave ovens.

you can only turn them on if there is food inside...
