I'm half way through it and it is rather good. The missus is actually a pretty good cook, but the salad is a little boring.

somtam and sticky rice once/twice a week..

japanese set lunch once/twice a week (usually fish or chicken)..

I also frequent a vegetarian place that does a lovely tofu/ginger, and mushroom dish served with jasmine rice, and is delicious - all for the measley price of 30baths..

I gave up beef last-year, and don't eat much bread these days . That's what 13 years in Asia does to you I suppose. I rarely eat western food these days at all - too much meat and oil and crap....

I know it's called mu kao something, but I can never remember the exact words. Anyway, it's pork and onions and mild green chilies over rice and I could eat it every day!

We got a blender last week so after lunch today Ms. B whipped up some smoothies: three small tubs of chocolate chip ice cream, one banana, one teaspoon of malt powder, a bit of milk and a few ice cubes. Dangerously delicious.

I am a big fan or "Gooey Tiao" or "Koitiao" or however that Thai noodles soup is spelled. I eat it nearly every day - sometimes at night after heavy drinking.

I bought some marvellous bread from the cafe at the Alliance Francais which I had buttered with some Patum Peperium spread thinly on the top.
