Thread: Sukhumvit soi 7/1

In my time here I've witnessed the demise of, IMHO, some of Bangkok's more tackier drinking zones. Namely, soi 10, thanks to Khun Chuwit's outrageous imitation of the nazi's 'night of the broken glass', where his paid thugs smashed the fok out of, in the main, soi 10's bars, after closing one night.

I've also see Clinton Plaza, shrink and then disappear into a new condo or hotel complex.

And also, Asoke Corner, has been demolished to make way for a shopping centre or such.

Using the displacement theory, take something away and it will return somewhere else and since the bars above vanished soi 7/1 has seen a gradual growth over the last 3 years.

Some people have a little difficulty with the street numbering system so I'm putting a piccy of Subway in the thread, even though I consider it to be incredibly overpriced tasteless pulp,
