Yayoi - Japanese Food For About a 100 Baht

Today's review is about Yayoi Japanese restaurant. I eat there a few times a week and decided to post about the place. In Chicago, Japanese food is expensive, but many of the dishes at Yayoi are 99 baht. Some are more.....

Yayoi was not popular when I first starting going there, but now it is. It is owned by MK. They have plenty of staff to serve you.

I ordered gai sauce sam rod. It is chicken with a sauce that boasts three tastes rolled into on. it is my favorite. It is stir fried with red pepper and onion and comes with rice, a salad, eggplant and Mizo soup on the side.

I usually swap my rice for another soup to keep my carbs down. here is a closeup picture of the soup and eggplant.

The bill is generally under 200 baht for two for the food and two bottles of water.

They have other dishes that cost more, but that is my usual bill.

This one is in Future Park. They are usually at most malls and some Big C stores.

looks pretty sanitary for a joint in Thailand, but I used to go to a jap joint up in CM when I lived there and it was clean with good food and not to spendy either.

But I never come to BKK anyway.

Just to inform everyone. the place has raised their prices a bit. the 99 baht meals are now 109 baht.

Tried some different ones and they were real tasty!!

Diced pork steak with veggies, miso soup, rice, salad and egg plant.

About the same I guess. The menus are different and Fiji is more upscale and definitely more expensive. I can get out of this place for around 220 baht for tow and with Fuji it is at least twice that and probably more. Last time we went to Fuji, it was about 800 for the two of us.

They got 99 Baht sets that are great value at these places.

    Well worth trying.
