    Ailati Resto

...an ad for this place appeared on my FB page: we decided to give it a try...it's located on the corner of Charoenkrung and Sathorn, very convenient to the Saphan Taksin BTS station. The restaurant itself is tiny even by shophouse standards: two tables and window stools downstairs and more seating up wooden stairs to the second floor. We started with mussels in tomato sauce (tangy and plump) and a Caesar salad (much the same as everywhere else). For mains we had a breaded pan-fried seafood platter (excellent!) and a seafood pizza (today is a non-meat day chez nous). The pizza is ordinary and not up to Pala standards. For dessert, a homemade (we were told) cannolo and profiterole: both light, creamy and not too sweet. I had my usual Montepulciano and SD enjoyed a lemon drink. The atmosphere isn't as interesting as Pala, but the food and prices weren't bad. We'll probably go again.

Looks very decent, especially the Caesar packed with shaved parmesan.

It's not. Meat generally refers to red meat from mammals.

Poultry and fish are white meats and usually not considered as meat.

There are varying definitions of the term.

Your own personal definition leads me to conclude that when you eat chicken you don't feel you're eating meat.

    That's actually quite 'niche'.

    Not wrong.

    Just niche.

...read (somewhere) that nuggets are commonly comprised of 40% chicken flesh...the rest is skin, fat and veins etc...

...the mussels and accompanying sauce were delicious, the bread not nearly as good as Pala's homemade offerings...
