    Pala Steak Extravagance

...SD ordered this not realizing it would be a feast for 4: perfectly cooked medium T-bone served with oven-roasted potatoes, garlic and rosemary and a rocket salad. The substantial remainder was carted off for dinner and next day's lunch...I had a more modest sea bass with lemon caper sauce and spinach...good steak presentation; turned quite a few heads at other tables:

Looks very nice. Overdone for my liking, but I am sure it was delicious.

What kind of restaurant slices your steak for you? Do they pre-chew it too?

    Does look delicious though.

Yeah, I'd have been happy with the sea bass.

That much food would pretty much kill my appetite just by looking at it.

Was there any warning on the menu that that dish was best ordered for two (at minimum) sharing?

...if there was, SD didn't see it (there was, however, a picture of a large uncut steak)...we expected some leftovers, but not the mountain of flesh we eventually carted back to the cave...

The type of meal I wouldn't be able to stop eating, and then would have to be lowered down through a removed window if the stairwell is too narrow to be rolled down.

I honestly could not eat even a fraction of that. It would probably be enough for me for two or three days.

    to be fair, I'd wager that's only a 500gram, perhaps 750gram max T-bone.

Most decent restaurants will cut a steak if it is a large cut or to be shared.

I think I came a little when I read sea bass with a lemon caper sauce...... It's been a long time since I've had something like that. Thanks again, Tom!

I recommended Pala to one of my students, the student said they'd give it a try.
