    Panettone

If you've never tried panettone, you're missing something wonderful. A mountain of packaged product was available at Central Chidlom in the weeks before Christmas...by Christmas Eve it had all been sold: I think a number of Thais as well as falang are catching on to this holiday treat...

Was introduced to some two years ago, when living in the region. Marvelous stuff, great with coffee.

...agree: breakfast at Nonna's during the holiday season frequently included traditional panettone (with bits of dried fruit) and her rich Italian coffee...great memory...

The Thai families give it as gifts to the teachers at Xmas. No one really likes it so by the end of term the staffroom is drowning in it as no one wants to take it home.
