A number of establishments have activated a part of their business that was always there but never or rarely used and that is their ability to produce meals and providing home deliveries.
Places such as The Loft are doing very well servicing those that are stuck in their homes and apartments with no appliances to prepare decent meals.
in fact my missus is doing at least 50 curries a day which are supplied frozen and those with a microwave can heat the meal in the safety of their own home.
I suppose when the going gets tough the tough get going is ringing loud and clear in these tough times.
^ Is this the boy who doesn't like the man with a wheelBarrow of information?
Just kidding. I'm crap at this cryptic stuff.
Hi Loy Toy,
Yup the place is still going when it is allowed to. I had to return to UK to sort some issues out and then couldn't get back so I am in separation and isolation at the moment. Unfortunately don't how long that will be.
Cheers, TP
Can't speak of Patts future, a bit of it's past - first visited late 80's/early 90's and it was a playground, both for expats, young "sow-yur-oaters" and families. It was nice.
Now, I've visited Pattaya every couple of years over the course of the past decades and it has slowly and steadily deteriorated - a slow and steady disintegration. My opinion is it cannot be saved. It is a lost cause and beyond salvation. My personal opinion only.
Four/five years ago I did a house-hunting drill and recognizance review of the area(s) around Pattaya - there is/was an awful lot of absolute shit for sale at ridiculous asking prices and idiot owners who think their piece of slum is a gem in disguise - I was surprised as much as astounded by the asking prices these idiots were assigning to old decrepit out-of-repair almost full rebuild required properties and the "take-it-or-leave-it" no negotiation attitude of these to dream the impossible dreamers.
Yea, there are a few nice properties available for those who have 20-25 million baht of disposable income. But, the nice property is still surrounded by slums and poorly maintained roads.
My personal opinion - beyond salvation. Nothing left that will attract a viable customer base for business.
I will still try a weeks beach chair bikini watching after Covid is a memory - but, I do expect I will be disappointed
In a word - Sad
Dragonfly: priceless, desperately soliciting business on TeakDoor !!!
Really, I don't see an Advert anywhere. I can assure you I won't be celebrating any other bars demise. I really believe the competition does us good.
Cheers, TP
