    New farang bars in Ayutthaya!

Coming soon to a temple town near you.
The well inspired "Islander" will open next to ECC,Ayutthaya at the end of October.
The bar is spacious with a small bar area and a garden in the back.A 45inch screen in the bar is for movies and sporting fans alike.
The second place was going to be called "The Island"but since has changed it's name(TBC).
This place is located outside Ayutthaya near Tesco Lotus and will cater for Thai customers!

It's getting abit busy in Ayutthaya,a good reason to visit.

Ayutthaya is a very nice town I thought, but with precious little in the way of falang pursuits.
    Good news.

I've also been informed of a possible live music venue
    being set up!
It's what the place badly needs,a cool place with live music and
plenty of attractive staff walking about!!

the place is a morgue and people could care less as they can be in bkk within an hour. every so often a falang does wet himself in fear of his thai wife which is good for a laugh. and it is nice to see her make up for it by giving him a discount on his booze and food.

The last time I stayed the night in Ayutthaya we had a nice dinner on a boat parked in the river, finished about 9 pm after the staff were glaring at us being the last diners there, so went wandering around with my Mia Noi looking for a bit of action, the place looked like it had been neutron bombed, no bastard around and even less open. Why is do they all go to bed so early ? Mind you this was about 12 years ago, has it livened up yet?

    Ummm...

Actually, the main 'party' areas are near the Grand Hotel & the Hospital.

There are a few clubs, lots of 'karaoke' bars and a few are open all night.

Wouldn't really call it a 'party area'; the Karaoke bars mainly cater to the local wealthy Japanese businessmen - good luck getting in, there is one country style pub playing occasional live music. Better off sticking to Bangkok in my opinion.

    just what it needs

Last time I was in Ayutthaya,it had three boring bars, rubbish music in each and food I would not give to my dog,if I had one.

Great another boring bar, just what its needs by the sound of it..!!!
