    Best chip butties

I have low food standards, I eat most things without complaint, but ...

FFS, this is the most disgusting food I've eaten (my own cooking included) since I (genuinely) ate bread and dripping in Europe.

How on Earth do you soap dodgers consume these things with a passion ... a chip butty

Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago ...

It looks awful, Dave. For me the best chip butties consist of only chips (home made preferably) and sliced bread. Nothing else, except perhaps butter.

    that bun itself looks fcuked

you need good chips from a real fish and chip shop and nice little buns to fondle while you bite into the morass

Actually, I didn't consciously order it.

Had the rugrats in the car after picking them up from the waterpark.

In the drive through, nuggets and chips x 2 was the order and the guy said something about chips and $2 and I just said yes.

    My mistake for not listening

    Dave,

That is not a chip butty.

    1. Chip butties don't come in a bun, especially not some mercan mcD type travesty
    2. they don't have sprinkles on
    3. they should be real chips.

keep this list for next time.

The humble chip butty can be a culinary masterpiece on a hungover Sunday afternoon.

    Fresh warm baguette.

    Dollops of mayo.

Fistful of chips just out of the fryer.

    Mug of tea.
    Sofa.
    Super Sunday double header.

Don't know about sofa but spot on with the rest; why would anyone think of buns and call it chip butty!

Erm this is a British dish, a fine one that doesn't need that stinky french muck on it.
