Pikes Place - value for money???

of you know, I am quite stupid...

So, the other day while in the supermarket, I picked up some coffee sachets of decent quality (?). When I got them home, it turned out they were capsules and needed a special machine. As they do.

So, being a wondering soul, I decided that the $14 spend on coffee needed $179 to justify it thus I bought a machine that could buy coffee from those redundant (otherwise) sachets that were actually capsules.

Why would I do that? Why not... Maybe to save money on coffee, maybe because I've never found an instant coffee I like but want something easy, maybe because...

    Thus we have it:

I have various (about 30, plus the 14 different varieties that came "free" with the machine; some expressos, some lungis, and some other stuff, but I like to mix a bit of warm milk with them...

Extremley easy to use, takes less than one minute to make, tastes a lot better than instant coffee. Tastes, with playing around, as good as the Twosome or Starbucks coffee, but costs about 70 US cents a go. I really like it and would recommend it to you folks.

Plus, it's quite good fun to play around with the different types to see what you like.

My first cup was Nespresso Linizio Lungo - tasted good. My second cup was one third filled with warm milk then I added Starbucks Pikes Place = really nice.

    Best to try one more...

Two thirds of warm milk and a House Blend Lungo:

(Why not add some chocolate cake as if I were in a Coffee Shop...

Verdict = yeah, really decent. I like it.

Those Nespresso machines are being sold for 30 EUR here, even 1 EUR if you buy 179 EUR worth of coffee capsules

bought 3 or 4 of those since, each for 1 EUR

Very similar to the deal I got... Although I only pay about 60 cents per capsule with a free Nespresso machine when I buy $179 worth of capsules.

But, yes, Korea is often expensive, and no I don't give a fuk because my salary/financial situation allows me not to give a fuk...

I have used both the lavaza and nespresso machines , and while they are good and you do not have to empty the coffee grounds and minimal mess , I still prefer to use a machine where I can put any coffee in it and do not need the special pods

it has also been an environmental issue with all the used pods , though many manufacturers seem to have moved to degradable pods

These come with recyclable pods and a bag to put them in which the company collects.

I'm not saying it's as good s grinding your own coffee and all that, but it still tastes good enough for me with no hassle.

And in a nutshell we have here everything that's wrong with the world today.
Mindless consumerism of a coffee maker at 9.30pm and nary a thought of Greta or adopting a Ray Carey.

    How dare you Boo

^ sorry, mate - a capitalist through and through...

Now, for this morning I decided to start with a shot.

    Decided upon the Volluto:

Quite a tame beast, but a bit of a wake up without too much of a kick.

Next, decided to have a latte with some breakfast, low calorie of course, and went for a Starbucks Columbian - who wouldn't want to start the day with a beautiful Columbian???

    A thoroughly pleasant experience...

^ those machines are about half the price, so I wish I'd bought those capsules by mistake...

I hope you're not talking about the decaf version, Dilly...

I'll try one of those Ristrettos later, on your behalf; I have about 10mg of zanax ready just in case!

Which flavours did you most like?

Just noticed Kazaar is 2 dots stronger than the Ristretto. Go on give it a whirl. Sounds like a Turkish toe curler.

Once you finish that pack forget the gay milky drinks that are away from the left side and use unicorn milk, it's cheaper.

I'd be straight into that caramelito, normally get an iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks, but this week at the only service station to the airport I walked into a Starbucks and there was a sign- ice cream meets coffee- I chose the malt one and asked for the Venti, they said it only comes in one size(no Luigi joke) a medium, then 250 baht please and what name do you want us to write on the cup. Dick came straight out

    No it isn't.

You got fat because you're a weak-willed, lazy, bone-idle slob with no self-worth.

What kind of devilry is this, 25 labels and only 14 capsules?

    I bet there's no Caramelito.

Finish all those capsules and storm into Korea's answer to Power buy and demand your 7 day refund with a Greta t-shirt on

^ Papillion is right, that's the free 14 starter pack.

I have 3x10 Starbucks and 1x10 Twosome, so I started with 54. The Starbucks/Twosome are 7,000 won each which is about $5.80.

$6 for the Starbucks coffee? why bother and not go for original Nespresso?

Tried all the 'generic' coffee for the Nespresso machines and usually taste not great,
