    Poor Tom.

Finally gets his own cutlery, sits down and eats with the great unwashed in a shopping centre's food court and gets mauled.

I agree with Tom about eating with a/c rather than in the gutter, although I am not so keen on unshelled prawns in fried rice. I dislike shelling the buggers unless it's a seafood platter.

A little too much rice in those choices for me and I never eat fried rice when eating out.

Tom just can't post a resto thread without being controversial or deliberately selecting an establishment to garner the most annoyance from the readership, oh and rubbing it in with the price.

One of these days a member is going to end up face down in their hawaiian pizza after a ruptured brain aneurysm over a particularly indulgent pad krapow moo kai dow.

...nonsense: SD and I choose restaurants on the basis of online reviews, type of cuisine and location in bkk...no attention is paid to other posters' ability to reach, afford or enjoy such restaurants...obviously...

Yeah. Eat where you want TC. I appreciate the reviews and have eaten at a few you have. I am however not much a mall food diner except when it comes to Sushi and Sashimi.

I prefer the road side BBQ Gai Yan places that sell Larb Moo, Nam Tok moo, Khao neuw and various spicey soups.

You're in Thailand, Tomcat. I'm not.

However, when I was living in Bangkok and other parts of the country it was a 5 minute walk in pretty much any direction and I'd land on my feet once I settled on one of the many choices available.

A personal favourite in Bangkok was/is sabai jai gai yang at Ekkamai. Hot and sticky, but with good food at reasonably fair prices IMO.

    There you go.

Perhaps you should do a review? The kor moo yang is particularly tasty.

That wasn't the point you made. In fact, you asked a question which I responded to with an answer:

It's up to you whether you wanna take yourself out of your usual sterility and take me up on my suggestion.

Just like most of the thread then.

Albeit very unlike Teakdoor, let's at least wrap it up on an affable note and agree to disagree.

    How does that sound?
