I fooking hate KFC. My missus buys a deep fried chicken carcass, in the village most mornings, for my dogs. I can't help but pick over it before giving it to the dogs. 25 Baht well spent. Feeds the 3 of us before i scamper away and lick my balls.

I find Thai KFC shit too tbh.

But if the choice was KFC or some scrawny fuckin thing thats had flies landing on it all day on the roadside in the sweltering heat and rain after being slaughtered days ago by some unhygienic peasant Thai with a dirty blunt knife, and a sweaty pair of bollocks on a stall with no running water, then yeah pass me the double Zinger and dont hold the mayo

Didn't they have Tower Burgers in the UK around 20 years ago. Perhaps still do.

That were like a Zinger, but with a fookin' hash brown in there too?

Not sure who came up with that idea, but I bet he was drunk and it was 6am.

The last 10 days of my trip were uncomfortably hot. It was around 30@75% at 5:30 rising to 39.6 by early afternoon. Flies were everywhere and too many to count let alone swat. A trip in the car to a KFC with Aircon was bloody heaven in comparison.

I Hate KFC in Thailand and I hate flies. , I am obsessed with them, even one fly buzzing around inside the house annoy me. I know I picked the wrong country to move to. But, unfortunately , and fortunately for other things, my wife is from Thailand. But aside the flies and a few other things I love Thailand..
Anyway, I tried the fry Chicken recipe below and IMO the results were better than KFC. I used a young chicken that I cut to pieces myself. I also made chicken strips and they were also delicious.
Anyway, give it a try sometime.

You do know that every element up until the cooking bit applies equally to KFC, corse the sweaty bollocks are replaced by teenagers who find amusing and imaginative ways of personalising the KFCs specially for Whities. And there's one for post toward the 100c

Sizzler is great if you're a vegetarian. The salad bar is great. Not so the fake "steaks", mostly reconstituted processed meat, which are fucking awful.

The problem with Sizzler, and any other self-serve food is that the customers doing the self-serving often have terrible hygiene practices.

On top of that, 100s of people do some self-serving at any one meal, where with service staff it might be only a few.
So your chance of one of them passing on their germs is much higher.

Queensland Sizzler Investigated After Alleged Gastro Outbreak

A Sizzler restaurant in the Queensland surburb of Booval, in Ipswich, is under investigation following a suspected outbreak of gastroenteritis. Several restaurant patrons fell ill after dining at the popular buffet restaurant in late February.

Lab Tests to Determine the Outbreak’s Cause
Public health physician Dr Kari Jarvinen said lab tests using samples from customers and Sizzler staff members were being conducted to establish the cause of the outbreak and determine whether the restaurant is to blame.

Woodend residents Kellie Roussounis-Adams and her family were amongst those struck down with a gastro illness after dining at the Sizzler.

"The following day my entire family was sick, including my two children," she told The Queensland Times. "My husband, who works as a concreter, was forced to take a day off work."

She learned of the suspected gastro outbreak through social media. When she contacted the restaurant, they happily refunded the cost of her meals.

How Could Gastroenteritis Enter the Restaurant?
Gastroenteritis is spread through close contact with infected people. This easily occurs in restaurants like Sizzler because, as Dr Jarvinen explained,”If someone had picked up a utensil like a fork, which had then come into contact with another person, they could have easily been infected."

He confirmed that there is a “highly contagious gastric virus” in the Ipswich community, so an infected person could easily have entered the chain restaurant and contaminated it without realising it.

    Sizzler’s Response to Investigations
Sizzler became aware of the problem after several customers raised their concerns. A restaurant spokesperson said it contacted Queensland Health as a precautionary measure. The representative also confirmed that Sizzler is cooperating with the official body’s investigations.

Queensland Health’s tests will determine whether the restaurant had the appropriate levels of sanitation and cleaning. The Sizzler spokesperson said the restaurant adheres to strict hygiene standards, and that management believes the cause of the outbreak is likely to be viral.

    Very good.

Though quite a bit of work if you're not cooking for 12 people, or mind putting 4 hours of shopping and preparing into to having a few pieces of fried chicken.

    Yes indeed
I recently made four french baguettes, it indeed took me hours. I had to knee and let rise the dough , knee again and let rise, every 45 min four times. according to the receipt .
Not to mention that I made a mess with flour everywhere.
I could had bought them at the store for less than $2 each in five minutes, but where's the fun in that?
As far as the shopping for ingredients is concerned, if you like to cook, you develop a pantry and a spice rack after a while..
