    Why bother with blokes cooking?
A lady neighbor cooks for friends, but she always has ingredients left over. This often ends up as my dinner.
Last night was a delicious Lasagne. Thank you neighbor.

Throwing anything on a BBQ immediately qualifies it as Bloke food.

Did you know that you can even BBQ Chinese dumplings?

    The Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200606_172500-jpg

A lovely lady from Shandong province east of Beijing kindly provided the dumplings.

    The Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200606_172147-jpg

Just baste them lightly in olive oil and roast them

    The Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200606_173530-jpg

Then dip in a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar.

We went for a stroll to explore the garden after late lunch and Miss Shandong found the lost bra belonging to Miss Solomon Islands. It had been missing since being blown off the balcony in January in high winds and was looking bedraggled and covered in moss.

    The Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200606_175518crop-jpg

I am not sure if my hastily improvised claims of not knowing who the bra belonged to left Miss Shandong entirely convinced...

Shandong is well known for its dumplings and buns. Also well known for having some strongly built people. Is she a strong lass?

So long as they have been stored cool and dry then they would have been good to eat in another 10 years. No problem there.

How big did you think this BBQ was going to get?

By the size of the logs chopped and ready on the left of the pic, I was looking forward to you roasting a pig (...and not in a sexual way)

    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Bit harsh Willy. I can't keep all of the garden tidy all of the time. I am not Abraham Lincoln.

I sent a photo of the mossy forlorn bra to Miss Solomon Islands (She went back to Sols in January before the Wuhan virus) offering to restore it to its former glory in the laundry.

But she has told me to throw it out.

I am thinking I might burn it instead of throwing it out.

I will wait for International Women's Day and hold a ceremonial bra-burning BBQ sausage sizzle to celebrate the bounteous virtues of the fairer sex.

^ Troy its a horror show I admit, but to be fair most of that was there for the littleun who's not been able to visit, she gets a combo of that shite with a load of veggies. She's difficult which is weird because all my kids ate veggies from the start of solids and liquidised mush.....small steps. Washed down with a cuppa, Darjeeling of course. My kids used to love trees and baby cabbage - broccoli and sprouts.

How many drinks did you have from start to finish?

New frying PAN today. Cooked chicken in white wine sauce. With bacon, mushrooms, leeks and garlic.
Cook everything separately, then chuck it all back in the pan, add white wine and cooking cream at the end then simmer for 20 minutes to reduce the sauce.
Again, all done from memory or by guesswork.

Two beers. The beers are in the same fridge as the food. That’s advanced planning for you.
