    Those ribs look chitty-esque.

Gotta be genuinely slow cooked, so the flavour permeates through to the bones that the meat just falls off.

When I first started cooking Thai potatoes I was prepared to be disappointed. In fact, although there is less choice here than UK, I have boiled, baked, roasted, mashed and refried various different spuds with no disappointments at all. Locally I cannot find any of what I would call 'waxy' potatoes so I used what I could find to boil for potato salad and they came out well too. Overall, the Thai potato has performed well.

Some are not labelled in English so I cannot be sure about those. Some are specifically labelled as Thai potatoes (suggesting the others are not Thai) and if you want to spend more of your cash you can sometimes get the Royal Project potatoes, which at that price should have a gold coin inside each one. Anyone here rate the Royal Project spuds as better for any purpose?

Powdered milk is fine, instant coffee is an abomination.

Big fan of smash. Can drum up sausage mash and beans in just a few minutes which gives me more time to enjoy TeakDoor.

Grating cheese on top of a lasagne counts as cooking in the land of blokes' oat cuisine

Retro fest tonight with the legend F-4 Phantom. The fighter/bomber that ruled the skies during the cold war and Vietnam war. This was the very first model airplane that I ever owned in my life. Age 7 my aunty gave me a diecast 1/72 Phantom. I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. And maybe I still think that.

Little did I dream that one day I would own my very own 1/48 scale Phantom made of plastic.

Nice cockpit detailing with the ejection seat grab handles front and rear.

    Lasagne is ready.

Bit off more than I could chew with this 2Kg monster + cheese.

No washing up when you eat straight from the tray as is the blokes' way.

^ The Phantom was always called the clean air converter because you could always see it's exhaust....again, of the era, the RA-5C was the coolest.

You could only eat that much? Pussy, though you did do a thorough cleaning of the cheese off the edge of the pan.

Yes, I was a bit puzzled about my diminished stomach capacity until I realised that I was taking on the 2Kg Ready Chef version when I normally get the 1.8Kg Coles own brand

Still I could probably have done a bit better and tried to scrape over the halfway line

That is just leaving me a bigger challenge for next time so I am only punishing myself

Nope, my wife forgot to buy some. Some cheddar would have been perfect, like I asked for.
