Different strokes as they say... We had been out on Koh Kret at a fine establishment. BKK holds no fascination for me at all anymore...

    He was flying at 6am.

You'd have been like my mate. Waking up halfway to Phnom Penh wondering how the fuck he got there and why he's on a plane when he didn't even need to do a visa run
Or in this case San Francisco

    Challange accepted...

Savor Indian restaurant is located about 2km away from IT Square.

Savor indian cuisine - ร้านอาหาร ใน เขต หลักสี่

They were based on Lat Krabang Road near Swamy airport until about a year ago. Not bad food.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

You know what they say, once you've gone 60% in the rear you'll never go back. I think that was a Buttfly quote.

Yep, not the best run business in Thailand.

Just wanted to see if there was an Indian anywhere near you.

...and as you pointed out. How could you take a mate for an Indian that closes before work finishes and is not open on the weekend?

So, I was hungry and the wife was sleeping (I should have woken her up really... ). I decided to cook.

    Not much in the fridge.

Verdict: poor flipping skills, but that's pretty manly. Next time, more seasoning will be required. Average and bland as one would expect by a rampant and powerful heterosexual in a bloke's cooking thread.

    ^ You didn't give it a name?

I'm going for 'omelette', but won't be surprised to be proved wrong.

It does look very edible, but I can't help wondering how I get mirth for my cooking efforts on these threads!

^ ^Bogon tip 878- omelettes still cook when on the plate. Get it outta the pan 10 minutes earlier.

^ yeah, fair comment, but pumpkin is 'orrible...

^^ it was bland, a poor effort, needed less cooking and more seasoning and something else, a twist to add some flavour, interest and flair.

So, I've read about this Korean Fire Noodle challenge. I saw said noodles on the shelf this morning and thought, "OK, why not?"

    The Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200201_121504-jpg

Easy prep...boil water, put noodles in, wait a couple of minutes. Drain the water, rip open sauce pack and stir in the sauce. Simples.

I have to say that it was reasonably tasty and the heat was akin to your average somtam. Several minutes after finishing the noodles is when something curious happened. The spiciness kicked in and my nose started running and my eyes began to water. Now it's been several minutes and everything has calmed down.

    Whew...deffo will buy again.
    pues, estamos aqui

Got home today starving at 2pm. Not much in the house as tomorrow is shopping day. I found some leftover spaghetti sauce, a small fillet of pork and a couple of ounces of mozzarella. ThrewThe Blokes' Cookery Thread-img_20200131_200320-jpg this together in the time it took to boil the penne noodles. Went down fast and nice..
