Just to remind you (and these masterpieces are just from this page!) what a man can do if he tries hard enough:

^ we've all done it (usually at 3am while off our nut rather than dinner for the children, but... ).

although, you'd at least throw some peas into the frying pan, wouldn't you.

Not me, I'm a much higher class of individual. Be all 3am croissants and stuff.

And by stuff, I mean coming-round to a kitchen fire after taking out the power in half the moo baan.

^^^^ I can't help feeling that you guys are mocking my cooking!

The chicken nuggets were an emergency and I'm not proud of that meal.

^ To be fair you picked the worst picture of the series to use to make fun of me.

Any meal half prepared can look pretty awful.

I wasn't making fun at you, just with you.

There's a reason that I don't paste many pics of the food I cook - it's worse than anybody else's here...

HW, to properly qualify, the non-stick should be lifting off and leaving black bits on yer food.

Nice. A bit too good for the bloke's thread though, I reckon.

^ No need mate... she had broccoli, cauliflower and carrots for tea yesterday!

Friday night is Leo night down at a mate's place. We sit in the garden drinking Leo while complaining about Korat... the kids terrorise the estate on their scooters (when not playing on their tablets).

Cheese toasties have become traditional when we get home, but last night it was well after midnight and I was more 'tired' than usual.

I have knocked literally minutes off the preparation time of cheese toasties.

Bread, straight out of the freezer, liberally sprinkled with cheese. No need to butter the outside of the bread.

    20 seconds in the microwave...

Cooked cheese and baked beans, one of the classic food combinations.

Erm £1.12p, and that's more than a can in the picture, but you'll notice the pea contrast - those from asda looking decidedly careworn and my pristine freezer peas which will get Mendip a semi.

If my mate had been off the next morning, we'd have been out for a curry and a few pints.
